The apartment is situated in well-kept beautiful gardens, facing out onto a large pool and terrace. The pool is occasionally used by the owner in the heat of summer but guests' privacy is extremely important to us so rest assured we're there when you need us but not otherwise! There are outside seating areas: a south-west facing pool terrace offering sun from mid-morning to sunset and a private dining terrace for the perfect, lazy breakfast or a relaxing evening barbecue. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided. The apartment is cool and well-appointed. Comfortably furnished.

Fabulous pool and garden in a lovely quiet suburb, about 3 miles from Moraira

The apartment itself could do with a little updating and the bed definitely needs replacing! However, it had everything we needed. The garden, view and pool are glorious and we were able to relax and fully enjoy the terrace in the lovely sunny weather, although there's plenty of shade. The gas bbq is really great and worked beautifully, enabling us to eat al fresco. Di and Antonio made us very welcome and we're so helpful if we needed anything. They were lovely company and great to have on hand.

The one draw back are the mosquitos, with the Tiger mosquitos biting even in the day, and they weren't particularly deterred by candles or sprays! Luckily the bites aren't too itchy!

All in all a lovely relaxing place to stay, not far from Moraira. You definitely need a car and the supermarket is about a 5 min drive. Moraira is a really charming town, with a couple of good beaches and lots of lovely places to eat. We would definitely go back!

Quite location just what we like

Lovely place and with your own pool well apart from when Diane ( the owner ) has her morning swim but nice and early so no bother.

You need the use of a car unless you like a good walk but that's never bothered me I like to have a run around these places.

Overall a nice quite place for these few days away.

Short but very sweet

What a beautiful stay that was. Although my girlfriend and I only visited Diana for three days, they were three days of calm, relaxation and distant cicadas. Diana and Antonio are warm, inviting and interesting - and passionate about their gardening. Their apartment is cute and cosy, and perfect for a couple looking to escape the real world. We'll definitely return. Hopefully very soon.

Best holiday ever!!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in July and didn't want to leave! The apartment is lovely, the garden beautiful and the pool is paradise and wonderfully maintained by the owners Diana and Antonio. You won't want the beach when you can have this sunny private retreat! The location is brilliant. It's situated in a quiet residential area and yet everything is 5 minutes away in a car, which is a must have. Diana and Antonio are a lovely couple, both very friendly and welcoming and they really made us feel at home. We will most definately go back and would thoroughly recommend renting this villa.

Excellent,peaceful,stress buster.

Well Linda and myself(Graham)are enjoying our last few hours in Shangri-la,if your into gardens this would be the place you will enjoy.

Now the owners,Diana/Antonia,never intrusive but always available to help if required,infact we have ventured out together for a couple of meals,and Antonio even did a lovely bbq.

So it's farewell for our second time here but we are already thinking of our return!.

Special interest holidays:

The coast is very popular for divers with a couple of diving centres in Moraira.

Coast/Beach:

Ten minutes walk to the closest beach, a beautiful, quiet pebbled cove with a beach bar.

Sandy beaches are easily reached by car within a few minutes. The main beach is in Moraira itself (with free parking) but the coast road features several stretches en route.

Travel:

Alicante airport is 95 km away, an hour and fifteen minutes drive.

Valencia is 130km.

We do recommend visitors hire a car so they can take advantage of the local towns and sights. This is also a mountainous area so walking can be tiring.

That said, there is a bus service that can be booked from Alicante to the closest supermarket, fifteen minutes walk away. And there are several taxi companies for people who would rather not drive themselves.

Distances:

Ten minutes drive to Moraira or Calpe.

Half an hour drive to Benidorm with its theme and water parks.

There is also a slow but attractive (and incredibly cheap!) train to Benidorm and Alicante. The train station is ten minutes drive from the apartment with free car parking.

Further Details:

We're about five minutes drive from Moraira, a lovely, attractive, cosmopolitan town with excellent restaurants, shops and sandy beaches. Boat trips and jet-ski hire is available.

The coast road leading to town features a beautiful beach walk with restaurants, cafes and bars to stop off in en route.

In the other direction lies Calpe which is much bigger with a wide selection of shopping and dining, stretches of sandy beach and the stunning Peñón de Ifach, a rock peninsula and nature reserve. There is also a coastal walk to Calpe which is gorgeous but you do need to be fairly fit!
