Talmont :Peninsula on the estuary of the Gironde (the biggest of Europe). The historically listed site of Talmont is famous for its XII e century Roman church built on the cliff. The town itself was built in 1284 by Edward !st of England who reigned during this period in this part of France. This area of France has diversified pleasures : walks in the countryside, beautiful beaches, and historical sites.
We are not originally from this area, but fell in love with this village 28 years ago, and have lived here since.
My husband was in the music business, performing through out the world with "The Band", Bob Dylan's group,
and The Rascals, way back when music had real melodies
I, from a young age, traveled through the five continents, which is still our hobby, and we find, coming back to Talmont, always a pleasure. It is a "diamond in a rough".
We enjoy meeting new people and presenting our lovely preserved village and interesting area.
Catherine and Buddy Buono purchased this apartment in 2013
In addition of having our boutiques in the village, we decided to accomodate some of the visitors always asking for places to rent in this quaint village.
We spent five months refurbishing the house in order to make it cosy and pleasant for our guests.
Our big apartment is so spacious and full of natural light
with its two terrasses and water views that we were even considering moving in ourselves.
Our small apartment is cute and cosy and has views over our zen garden and the village.
