Chalet With Uninterrupted Loch And Mountain Views

Overview

Property

Updated: 04-Dec-2016
Chalet in Dalavich, Nr. Oban, Strathclyde, Scotland

Set on a 2/3 acre plot in tranquil Dalavich Chalet Park, the property sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with double beds and 1 twin bedroom with bunkbed. Dining table with seating for 6 (+Cot & High chair if requested). Amenities: internet enabled smart & satellite TV's in two bedrooms + lounge DVD player, internet via wireless broadband, quality stereo & radio, barbecue, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher & fireplace. BBQ pit and firepit.

There is a soft golden sand beach about 40 metres along the shore , in the shallows it can be a nice warm swim in summer.. but don't go out too far ! it quickly becomes hypothermia cold !!

There is a pub, restaurant, shop and post office within 2 or 3 or minutes walk.

This chalet is a fantastic place if you want water and mountain views in a relaxing space , we always try to present you with the best possible , but if you are a person that would notice a few flecks of dust on an electrical socket and then obsessively send me multiple photos of it from various angles and demand something be done about it , perhaps you should relax and think again :)

Perfect break in a homely chalet

  • 5 of 5

We had spent a lot of time looking for the perfect place to visit for my grandpa's 70th birthday. Once we decided upon the Bubble, Nicky was so easy and friendly to book with. Answered all my questions efficiently. Once we arrived at the chalet we were so happy. It had fabulous views, located well and internally was fabulous. It was just what we wanted and Nicky had made such an effort to leave a homely touch. I loved this about this property. Very few other holidays or log cabins I've too had that homely touch. I will be back again. Thanks again Nicky.

Magical Place

  • 5 of 5

Loved The Bubble! Very cosy, stunning views and in a lovely little village on the banks of Loch Awe. Found the village shop/cafe/bar stocked with all essentials and very friendly American lady working there. Even went to the village church for carol service, lovely. Our dogs had a wonderful time too! Lodge is equipped with everything you need, would definitely recommend to anyone. A haven away from this fast paced world we live in.

Ideal for family and friends

  • 5 of 5

The stay was wonderful. It is located in very peaceful place near by oban. We went there with family , kids and dog and we all enjoyed it. House is oldschool chic and gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling of home. We had parafin lamp and it gave wonderful feeling in evening while we were playing cards and having dinner. Owner is very kind and respond within minutes if you need something. Feel free to give him a call if you have any questions and he will make sure to help you out. Will come back for sure

Owner's Response: When Marija wrote "paraffin lamp" what she meant was paraffin heater ,which i advise everyone to make use of if coming in the colder months. Thanks :)

Very special stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at The Bubble!! The environment is superb for walking, hill walking, historic site visiting and leisure on the lake. Te views from the apartment are beautiful whatever time or weather, it is always impressive and stunning. It is a compact and comfortable apartment with great personal touch, not just an apartment! Thanks for making us welcome!

Bubble & Squeak

  • 4 of 5

The Bubble Chalet was ideal for myself, my husband, and our 3 teenage children plus 2 cats! We all felt very comfortable and totally relaxed. The location is very peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. We spent 3 nights at the Bubble which went by far too quickly!! The Chalet is ideally placed for visiting Oban and is within range of many local interesting historical places. Well equipped and comfortable, the Bubble offered a great place to return to after a long day spent walking, fishing or negotiating the roads! Would definitely recommend as a base for discovering the west coast.

Perfect seclusion

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely relaxing 4 night stay at the bubble. The chalet is quirky but has everything you need including a really beautiful view overlooking Loch Awe. It really is off the beaten track and I loved the twisty, hilly road that takes you to Dalavich. Having said that you aren't so remote that you can't have some tremendous day trips - we visited the Sealife Centre outside Oban, the stunning Kilchurn Castle, Inverawe Smokery and Oban itself. The owner Nicky couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

People in unfamiliar environments break and damage things like dinner plates and kitchen countertops, as such i try and persuade my guests to take my accidental damage insurance costing £14 , this is a less hassle and much better option than asking for £hundreds in security deposits.

Guests who pay rental fees late must appease the Bubble Gods by leaving a sacrifice of a can or bottle of ginger beer at the chalet.
