Parc Vean is a lovely, spacious and light-filled house near the top of Trevone. It has been refurbished throughout to make it a great base for your holiday. There are stripped floors through the ground floor, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and decorated giving a modern beach house atmosphere. There are lawns and a sheltered patio area. Modern bathrooms are a joy, and the 2 small balconies great for enjoying the atmosphere.

Raintree House Holidays is a small beach house letting and management company focusing on a handful of beaches down the coast between Padstow and Porthcothan. All our houses are within walking distance to one of these beautiful beaches and a large number have spectacular sea views. We let our owner’s holiday homes out to guests many of whom we have known for years. Holidays with Raintree will always be memorable and enjoyable as we manage all aspects of the houses ourselves. We employ our own cleaning and maintenance teams, this means we are very flexible and can achieve very high standards across all our houses.

"I just thought I would email to say thank you for letting us use Parc Vean at the weekend. Trevone was a spectacular find, with a lovely beach and not too far from Padstow which was also beautiful. The house was perfect for our needs and very nicely decorated inside. The homemade cake was a lovely surprise and we tried our hardest to return it in the state we found it in (although unfortunataly we didn't have time to bake a replacement cake).





As you'll know, the weather was perfect for our trip and some of us even managed to come away with a bit of a suntan! Our fishing trip was a success and we managed to catch enough for lunch and saw a pod of dolphins at the same time. A great weekend, made all the better by a lovely house and setting to start the holiday. "

Special interest holidays:

Parc Vean is perfectly located to provide accommodation for those who want to take part in surfing with some of the best surfing in the UK being available at 6 beaches within 5 minutes of the property. Walkers are also well catered for - with the Coast path only a few minutes walk from the house. And if you are interested in cooking, then courses can be organised in Padstow - not surprising with restaurants by Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver, Paul Ainsworth and Nathan Outlaw all being within 10 minutes of the house.

Coast/Beach:

The beach is about 10 minutes walk down the lane and if you want to park up the car for as long as possible, there are shops around to cater to your daily needs. The village shop provides newspapers and fresh bread and pasties daily in season. The cafe is good for a casual lunch or relaxing cup of coffee. Surf and beach equipment can be bought or rented at the surf shop. And the Well Parc pub is easily accessible by foot. The area is also blessed with a number of beautiful beaches only a short distance away. Treyarnon Bay , Constantine Bay, Mother Ivy's Bay and Porthcothan Bay are all within 15 minutes drive.

Travel:

Newquay Airport is 10-15 minutes drive away, while trains can be caught to Bodmin Parkway, a 20 minutes drive.

Distances:

Padstow is 5 minutes drive away, while Newquay is about 25 minutes drive. Rock and Polzeath can be driven to in about 30 minutes - or you can take the ferry across from Padstow. St Ives with its fantastic art galleries and beaches is just 50 minutes away.

A 40% deposit is needed to make a booking with the balance due 4 weeks before the holiday. A £250 refundable security is required.

Changeover Day:
Parc Vean's changeover day is Saturday- with arrival by 4pm in the evening and departure by 10.00am. At half-terms, Easter, and Christmas/New Year, and in the quieter months we can be flexible, so please enquire.

All decorated in clean white, with fresh curtains and pictures giving a simple but clean atmosphere.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: We welcome well behaved dog(s). Outside: The front garden has a good area of lawn, good for some ball games or relaxation. Steps lead down to a gate onto the Trevone beach road below. maintained borders lead round the side of the house, and round the back to the sheltered terrace. Two sets of patio doors ensure that the house and garden can be enjoyed together when the weather suits. Care is needed to ensure children are careful down the steps to the front. Parc Vean has a long narrow drive, with enough space for 2 or 3 cars. But to stop each car blocking others in, guests can park nearby on the road if they wish. Utility Room: Off the kitchen is a small utility room with washing machine and useful storage and hooks for coats. There is also a separate cloakroom next door to the utility. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: High quality cotton linen and towels are provided. A 'standard' clean is provided on your departure. For 2 week stays, the house is cleaned and linen and towels changed after the 1st week.
