We really enjoyed our stay at Sutton View. It was nicely furnished and very clean. The central location made it easy for us to get around to see the sights. Would recommend.
I know we went at the end of the year, late November, but I did expect a certain standard of cleanliness and décor.
The flat looked clean, but little things annoyed. Dirty cutlery and crockery, sticky kitchen floor. No blinds at one bedroom window and broken blinds in the other. The came the same day I complained and fixed these things, but really they should have been checked and corrected, before we got there. Otherwise perfect position, plenty of room a well laid out apartment. Would go again and hopefully the cleaning will have been done properly.
Activity and Interests
Close to South Devon and South East Cornwall beaches. Mothecombe, Bigbury, Bantham and Whitsand (Cornwall) beaches are all within 45 minutes drive. Plymouth Hoe is a short 15 minute walk.
Brittany Ferries Millbay Port is 5 minutes drive from the apartment. Plymouth Railway Station is a 5 minute drive also. Private, secure parking is included, so access by car is easy. Situated 2 minutes walk from Plymouth central bus station.
Plymouth Theatre Royal - 10 minute walk.
Plymouth University - 5 minute walk.
The Barbican waterside area - 2 minute walk.
National Marine Aquarium - 10 minute walk.
Plymouth Hoe - 15 minute walk.
Dartmoor - 20 minute drive.
The towns and villages of South Devon are among the prettiest in England. Many are situated on the coast and are near to unspoilt beaches that are easily accessible and provide a perfect location for spending a lazy summer day. The South Devon Coast path is only two minutes from the apartment and passes by Plymouth Hoe, the historic site where Sir Francis Drake first sighted the Spanish Armada while playing bowls. Follow the path around and you will end up at Cremyll where you can catch a passenger ferry to the grounds of Mount Edgecumbe House.
To the north of Plymouth, Dartmoor offers a range of activities to the visitor. Walking, climbing and horse riding are just some of the pastimes that can be enjoyed in this area of Devon's premier national park.
The South Hams, immediately to the east of Plymouth, features some of the most stunning coastal line of the UK and some of the most beautiful golden sandy beaches this side of the Channel. Coastal towns including Salcombe and Dartmouth are within 50 minutes drive of Plymouth and sandy beaches such as Mothecombe, Bantham and Salcombe are within 40 minutes of the city centre.
