Take advantage of our private stretch of the river Lune and a spot of complementary fishing while taking in the views of the Lakeland fells. It is just 2 minutes from junction 38 of the M6 and within easy reach of the A66 and A1. Situated 10 minutes drive from the town of Kirkby Stephen and the railway station on the beautiful Settle/Carlisle line. The cottage is perfectly situated for a peaceful, relaxing stay or for those wanting a perfect base for walking, cycling, fishing or Horse riding on the Eden Valley riding loops. It is just off the coast to coast walk and cycle route. You are ideally placed to visit the nearby Towns of Kirkby Stephen, Appleby in Westmorland,Sedbergh, Kendal, Penrith. We have all enjoyed a wonderful Easter break in this fantastic house. Our Hosts Adrian and Belinda were most welcoming. The house is so well equipped and very comfortable and everything is very well thought through. We would love to come back to this lovely house and area and will certainly recommend to all of our friends- Thankyou.

Great short break

Booked cottage for 4 nights at the end of August 2016 cottage lovely and clean lovely views very quiet and nice little extras we never expected coffee, biscuits, and lots of sauces and spices if needed the hot tub was very welcome after being out all day lovely and relaxing would go again owner Adrian very nice and did not live far away if you needed him for anything

Treat of a retreat

The property is as described , we were able to relax as was in peaceful location. We were able to explore the lakes although 30-45 minute journey to most of the main tourist spots.

We were greeted by sheep in the garden one morning which we found amusing.

Overall a nice relaxing place to stay.

Modern and spacious cottage

We've just returned from 3 nights in the cottage and absolutely loved it. It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms were clean and modern. We really enjoyed the hot tub too! Hoping to return at some point in the coming months.

The cottage is in a good location - nice and peaceful but only a short drive to Kendal and Lake Windermere.

The owner was also very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely comfortable cottage in an ideal location. Quiet, easy to find and well appointed.

Had a really relaxing time in this highly appointed, very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Well placed for exploring the lakes and Cumbria. Hot tub is a lovely touch but also loved the open plan living area with a lovely outlook, two great bedrooms both ensuite. Not forgetting the ducks wandering next door and the peace of the location and its views from inside and out. Adrian a really friendly and helpful guy too. All in all, highly recommended!

Superb cottage. Hot tub a winner!

Cottage is ideally located in a lovely scenic setting. Access to all routes is a short drive away. Tastefully decorated to a high standard throughout. Very clean and well maintained. You will not be disappointed even our 11yr old daughter can't wait to visit again next year. The hot tub is an added bonus!

The owner Adrian is most welcoming and available if needed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Cottage

We stayed in this wonderful cottage over the new year period and couldn't of wished or hoped for anywhere better, the pictures don't do this place justice. The location is great and has amazing views. The cottage was immaculate and is decorated beautifully throughout and has everything you will ever need. We loved celebrating new year in the hot tub which is an excellent added feature and somewhere we spent a lot of our time. We will definitely return to this cottage at some point in the near future and have already recommended it to all our family and friends. Thank you Adrian and Belinda for a wonderful time, hopefully see you again soon.

Fish the River Lune or nearby Eden. Our Guests are entitled to fish our waters and those of the Tebay Anglers waters courtesy of two complementary permits.

For the experienced angler or those wishing to try their hand at fishing can visit the nearby Bessybeck trout fisheries 5 minutes drive away.

Horse riding is available locally within 10 minutes drive away, where you can enjoy open county riding on many miles of fell and bridleways.

Walking can be enjoyed on the many footpaths near the cottage accessing the Howgill Fells or a short drive gains you access to the Lakes and Yorkshire dales.

Take A685 for Kendal through Kirkby Stephen. Continue on the A685 to the village of Newbiggin on Lune. At the cross roads turn right signposted Kelleth and Asby, then immediately left towards Kelleth.
