‘Granary Cottage’, a detached and lovingly converted barn conversion tucked away in a quiet picturesque setting in traditional Lanivet village a few miles from Bodmin, Mid Cornwall. A short stroll to Lanivet Inn (restaurant with good food). Good central position, St Austell south coast 12 miles, Polzeath beaches on opposite north coast 14 miles. Newquay 14 miles. Lanhydrock House & gardens (National Trust) is 2 miles. Lanivet's Abbey Hotel does cream teas, fish and chip shop restaurant, the village boasting an impressive large old Church, a Spar shop and a Childrens Park. Granary Cottage is in a picturesque and quiet part of the village, an attractive setting surrounded by trees, the cottage providing higher standard accommodation and retaining features such as old stone walls and exposed beams. Attractive enclosed front garden with a Cherry tree and seating. The famous All Saints Way coast to coast footpath runs through the village, explore nearby Bodmin Moor.

Bedroom 1 is roomy has 1 double bed and 1 full size single put-you-up bed at the opposite end. Kitchen with an electric cooker & hob unit, microwave, fridge, washing machine & spin dryer. Roomy lounge/diner with T.V. Also a T.V. (with DVD) in the bedroom. Downstairs bathroom with bath, overhead shower & toilet.

Linen inclusive. Cot & High Chair. Electric by Key meter (village shop). Easy to keep warm with night storage heaters throughout including the bedroom and also an electric heater in the lounge area.

Parking at end of driveway adjacent to the cottage for 2 cars (the garage is not available). No pets.

A lovely place to stay, central for a lot of places to visit, we went to Fowey, Lizard Point,Bodmin and Geevor Tin Mine plus a few more. The granary was clean and tidy and warm would certainly consider staying here again.

Pleasant stay in Lanivet

The cottage was well presented and comfortable; and was a great base for sightseeing in Cornwall. The highlights for us were Port Isaac, Tintagel and the Lost Gardens of Heligan near St. Austell. We arrived at a busy time, with children leaving the nearby Lanivet Primary School, and had some difficulty locating the cottage, but Patrice came to our rescue. After that minor hic-cup, our stay was very quiet and peaceful. We would recommend the cottage for couples wishing to explore Cornwall, and it is great value for money.

granary cottage

We enjoyed our stay at granary cottage in its peacefull surroundings. A nice compact little hideaway within easy reach of Bodmin & Eden Progect etc.Plenty to see & do in this part of Cornwall.We were met by the owner on arrival who made us feel welcome. We are likely to return to this property in the future.

Great for walkers (on All saints way coast to coast footpath/Bodmin Moor a few miles away. Famous Cycling Route at Wadebridge.

Great central location from which to explore Cornwall with beaches Par near St Austell approx 13 miles and with Newquay on the north coast 16 miles. Polzeath beach 14 miles. Padstow approx 11 miles and lots of beaches, places of interest within easy reach.

Travel:

Nearest airport Newquay about 15 miles away.

Distances:

Set in the tiny and pretty village of Lanive. Bodmin town is about 2 miles. Padstow about 11 miles, Newquay 14 miles, St Austell 12 miles.

Further Details:
