Cottage near Bude, Cornwall- Country Setting Only 4 Miles To Beaches

Jewella Cottage, a traditional character semi-detached farmhouse amidst quiet countryside on the edge of the tiny rural village of Grimscott, 4 miles from the excellent surfing & bathing beaches at Bude, North Cornwall. A few miles from ancient Stratton village with its three pubs (The Old Tree Inn does particularly good food). Spectacular & rugged coastal walks along this stretch of coastline; from the wild beauty of Hartland Point to legendary King Arthur’s Castle at Tintagel. Lots to do in the area: Bude beach resort attractions - indoor swimming pool (with wave machine) & a huge free swimming pool on the main beach, 18 hole golf course, tennis, etc. Tamar Lakes 6 miles: nature reserve with trout and coarse fishing, bird watching & sailing. Jewella Cottage has an enclosed rear garden with country views and is situated on a 60 acres family run sheep & beef farm, one of only two properties, the owners farmhouse being the adjoining property.

Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 single bed. Bedroom 3 has 1 double bed. Bedroom 4 has 1 double bed. Roomy lounge/diner with feature fireplace & woodburner & T.V., the lounge area having patio doors opening onto the rear garden. Sun lounge overlooking and with door onto rear garden. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine. Bathroom with bath,overhead shower, toilet & washbasin.

Cot & High Chair. Linen inclusive. Woodburner in lounge/diner (fuel available from local shops). Central heating inclusive (29 Sept to April 13). Also electric fires. £1 electric meter.

Adjacent parking bay for 1 car and other off the road adjacent parking for 2cars. No pets.

Peaceful setting close to all amenities

This cottage is very quaint and situated in a really peaceful and relaxing location. It is only 4 miles from the lovely seaside town of Bude which has a local Sainsbury's and Morrisons as well as other lovely shops some of which are full of character.

The cottage was spotless upon arrival, beds very comfortable. There was everything we needed with regards to crockery and cutlery, salad bowls etc. It was very comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. A car is a definite requirement though as all tourist attractions are quite a distance away other than Bude. But ideal setting for a peaceful holiday without noise and can travel to any attraction.

The owner was very friendly, she could not have been more helpful and accommodating and was a pleasure to deal with.

We found the area to be very dog friendly and my dog was allowed in numerous shops and even tea rooms. The tea rooms that run alongside the bakery in Bude are lovely to visit and the meals are great value for money, lovely and fresh, the rolls are provided by the bakery, a great friendly atmosphere. Boscastle and Port Isaac are definitely worth a visit, Snails Cafe in Boscastle is also great value for money and the meals are lovely, friendly atmosphere and also dog friendly.

Beaches in Bude are lovely, sandy but lots of rock pools for children to investigate when the tide is out :-)
