Step through the door of any one of our charming barn style character cottages a warm and inviting welcome awaits. Our smallest barn cottage 'Barncott' sleeps two and is full of homely relaxed charm, many of our guest return year upon year. A open plan galleried bedroom adds to its character, with a new kitchen fitted this year, beamed ceilinged sitting room with warming wood burner make this a truly cosy couples' holiday abode. Lovely private lawned garden for alfresco dining. Two further single level barn conversions, Stablecott and Groomscott offer accommodation for 4 and 3 guests respectively, both with cosy wood burners and provide a great base for your perfect small family holiday to begin. They have a shared courtyard and further access to our larger communal lawned area and small games room. Our larger cottage, Cowslip, sleeps 5 in three very pretty bedrooms, with upstairs family bathroom and an additional downstairs shower room for extra convenience. A former milking parlour this is a large and spacious cottage, well laid out to provide a fabulous holiday home away from home, well set out kitchen with large separate dining room for happy family meals, very relaxing sitting room with wood burner. Outside patio area. All cottages have ample parking and all excepting Groomscott have dishwashers, and all have washing machines along side all the usual expected appliances.

We are just minutes for the beautiful and rugged cliff tops and this is an interesting historical tin mining area. The stunning setting is the backdrop for the BBC'S drama series Poldark, showing this area of Cornwall's landscapes at their very best. The rich mining heritage on the stretch of coast proves difficult to resist, and the Levant mine just a 10 minute stroll plays the role of the fictional Tressiders Rolling Mill in the series. The series showcases the fabulous coast between here and Botallack and also features the much photographed Crowns mines, a stunning walk along the cliffs from here.

Geevor mine is on the 'doorstep' and is a world heritage site, and is open to the public for underground tours and an insight to Cornwall's mining history.

Our local beaches, Portheras, Boat Cove and Sandy Cove are a few minutes drive set below the lighthouse in Pendeen, are truly lovely and unspoilt.

Easy drive to larger beaches, the glorious white sands of Sennen Cove (7 miles) and Porthcurno (approx 8 miles), Marazion and St Michael's Mount (6 miles) and quaint St Ives (12 miles) with many more coves and beaches to discover. St Just (market town with plenty of shops, 3 miles. Lands End airfield with daily flight to the Isles of Scilly and Cape Cornwall, named the connoisseur's Lands End!, 3 miles. Well known Lands End is 7 miles. The main town of Penzance is 6 miles and this is also the port for the boat crossing for the Scillonian crossing to the Scillies.

The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and many other delightful Cornish gardens are easy days out from here.

Your perfect holiday home destination awaits and it will be a pleasure to welcome you here to Trewellard Manor Farm Cottages.

Five Star Gem!

  • 5 of 5

Groomscott was all that we could have asked for on our September holiday. The location, on what has to be the most stunning part of the Cornish coast, made for a most relaxing stay. The cottage was very welcoming. The heating was on to ensure a 'warm welcome' on our chilly arrival day, aided by the fresh flowers, wine and shortbread awaiting us. Our cosy holiday home had comfortable bedrooms with plenty of storage, a bright living area and modern kitchen. We wished that we had been in the position of being able to stay on an extra week, but sadly, not so. We would definitely be interested in returning to this little gem!.

A great cottage in real Cornwall

  • 5 of 5

Groomscoot was a comfortable, newly re-decorated and well equipped cottage, with good facilities. The provision of a woodburner made for cozy evenings with the benefit of a complimentary bottle of wine! We only stayed for 3 days but the property would be great for longer stays with drying/washing facilities available. A small decked area facing west would be good for summer evening sundowners.Marion the owner was helpful but unobtrusive and the house was spotlessly clean.

The whole area around Trewellard is superb for exploring by foot/bike/car with amazing cliff scenery and the industrial heritage of all the mines. It still retains a true cornish feel, as yet unspoilt by mass tourism.

We would highly recommend the Trewellard Arms 300m away for Sunday lunch, a friendly welcome from staff and customers with good roast meat and vegetables.

We thoroughly enjoyed our few days there and would definitely return.

Gemütliches Cottage in traumhafter Umgegebung

  • 5 of 5
