This mansion villa with breathtaking coastal views will sleep up to twelve persons in the 5 double bedrooms. A perfect location giving an experience of space and tranquility, yet just a short stroll to bars, restaurants, shops, spa and aquatic park and a 6 minute drive to the beautiful sandy El Campello beach with its long promenade next to the sea and the many bars and boutiques alongside. The cosmopolitan city of Alicante is an 8 minute drive and there are Spanish villages all around. The lush greenery and subtropical tree and shrub planting creates a relaxing experience and the beautiful spa adjacent to the villa enhances it. There are many activities available: golf, tennis, sailing, horseriding, and theme parks a short drive away. There is a spanish character to the area and cultural and historic places to visit nearby.

About the Owner

I am a resident of Bath, Somerset, U.K. I have two children and my daughter has been living in Spain for the last few years. She now has three small children and so we come to Spain frequently to help out with grandchildren. My husband is Spanish so we have family of his here in Alicante.

We bought Villa Tamarindo to be able to reunite the family to have quality time together. We recently moved to a beautiful golf resort nearer to Alicante to feel closer to the Spanish community. We looked for three years to find the perfect property which we now offer for rental when we are not occupying it ourselves.It is located in lush green surroundings overlooking the Bonalba Golf course and has panoramic coastal views.

I sold Villa Tamarindo to buy this new villa and this is the first season. I wanted to be in a more interesting area with a more spanish flavour to the surroundings.

Fantastic villa but definitely not for wheelchairs

We booked this villa for a big family holiday to celebrate my dads birthday.

We needed a villa suitable for wheelchairs and this looked perfect from the description. Unfortunately it's not.

The door to the downstairs bathroom is too narrow for a wheelchair and there are steps both to get in the front door and to get into the back garden and the pool area. There is a slope down the side of the property but it's far to steep for independent use.

The villa is fantastic and I'd certainly recommend it to friends but it definitely shouldn't be advertised as accessible. The fact that it's clearly a family home makes it very cosy and well stocked with everything you could need for a week. The surroundings and communal areas are also great. We didn't get to use the waterpark as it was closed but this looked lovely too.

Owner's Response: I am sorry the wheelchair user experienced problems. The villa has been used by wheelchair users many times successfully during the past 4 years. There is one shallow step from the road into the house which has all large spaces. The doorway to the en-suite bathroom is too narrow but it is just a one metre transfer to the loo etc. Yes I wouldn't expect the ramp to be used without supervision/assistance as it is a little steep.

Beautiful villa in wonderful surroundings

This property really surpassed our expectations and the photos attached do not do this property justice. We spent a wonderful two weeks here, without a car and it didn't stop us getting about. There is a short cut to a shop and some lovely bars/restaurants who helped us get taxis if needed. We had a couple of days out but we were more than happy to spend our time in the villa. Thank you for some amazing memories and we will hopefully come back again.

GREAT VILLA WITH AMAZING VIEWS

This is a lovely big spacious villa and the views from the garden and terrace are amazing. Gardens and pool area are lovely too. Infinity pool was actually bigger than i thought it would be after reading another review. The owner is very helpful, answered any queries we had and also gave us great advice. There were 9 of us staying here for a week, the villa and gardens are big enough that we didn't feel we were all on top of each other. we didn't have a car but used the taxi driver the villa owner recommended and they were a great help. A meal at La Perla restaurant that is only 5 minutes away from Villa is a must, best seafood I have ever tasted and staff very friendly.

Would recommend this villa without hesitation as we had an excellent weeks stay there.

The villa is located in a superb location. It was a spacious villa with all the facilities. The beach is not far by the car. The view of the golf course nearby is excellent. Will definitely go back to relax again

Wonderful Holiday

Wonderful holiday in a great location. The villa was very spacious and comfortable and I particularly like the terrace with adjacent pool and the 12 loungers with mattresses. It was great chilling out in the pretty gardens with lovely views. The tennis courts, aquatic gardens and spa facilities all nearby were a bonus.

Dreamy house

This was the most luxurious holiday accommodation i have ever stayed in. This house has beautiful furniture and all mod cons one would want.

Spar facilities within walking distance. Quiet environment and lovely views. This is my second stay and plan to return. The owner's should be well proud. Jonty

Location

From the Owner

We searched for three years for the perfect location with all facilities adjacent and a more spanish character to the surrounding area than at Villamartin where our previous villa was located. We enjoy the contrast between the mountain villages and the cosmopolitan culture of historic Alicante. El Campello is quite unique with its 2km. Beach promenade all of which is pedestrianised and lined with bars, restaurants and boutiques. There is always something new and interesting to explore in the immediate vecinity; beaches,coves, mountains, caves, castles, museums, art galleries, historic quarters, bodegas, vineyards, boutiques and shops of all kinds.

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 20 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Bonalba at 300 Metres Nearest Golf : Bonalba at 400 Metres Nearest Train : Alicante at 10 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A7 at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Bonalba at 300 Metres Nearest Beach : El Campello at 4 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful El Campello sandy beach is a 6 minute drive to the port parking which has direct access to the beach and promenade running alongside with its numerous bars and boutiques. There are a variety of adjacent coves and small beaches also. El Campello has a daily fish auction as the fishing boats arrive in the port in the late afternoon. There is also a nautucal club serving the yachts moored in the harbour.

Travel:

Car hire is not essential but recommended to be able to visit the coastline beaches, villages and Alicante cosmopolitan capital which is only 8 minutes drive away. The nearest airport is Alicante and is just 15/20 minutes drive away.

Distances:

The nearest village is Mutxamel a five minute drive. El Campello is a larger beach town and is a 6 minute drive along the fields but a good road. Alicante with its many cultural spaces and historic sites, castle and waterfront is 8 minutes drive. There are great caves at Busot, a 15 minute drive through amazing mountain landscape. The equivalent of Sea world, Disneyland and Safari Mt. is a 20 minute drive.

Further Details:

There is a path which leads to local shops, bars, restaurants and is a short stroll. It is a 5 minute walk to the amazing acuatic gardens with the enormous island pools, waterfalls and indoor grotto pool. The subtropical gardens and lawns are a unique experience and perfect to spend a whole day taking a picnic or snacking at the poolside thatch bar or if preferred fine dining at very reasonable cost at the restaurant. At El Campello there is a yacht harbour, a port with daily fish auctions, beach sports and a very entertaining promenade along the beach. The town has supermarkets.Tennis courts are adjacent to the villa and there is also horseriding. There are wonderful mountain walks close to the caves at Busot. All theme parks are close to Benidorm which is a 20 minute drive, whereas Alicante is just 8 minutes away with its wonderful seaside promenade and market stalls, its port and old spanish galleon, casino, its castle and beach walk. The town is a labrynth of intereseting boutiques.
