Kitsham Holidays offer three stunning properties which are delightfully set in a ideal location on the edge of our 200 acre family farm and near the North Cornwall Coast.
The cottages have been extensively renovated with the highest standards of furnishings and fittings, combining quality and style with comfort and luxury.
The Hayloft is a gorgeous house featuring reverse style living with kitchen / living area upstairs taking advantage of the huge vaulted ceilings and far reaching views over the local countryside.
The Hayloft has been designed with great attention to detail with oak flooring and granite worktops in the kitchen and large en-suite bathrooms with double sized wet rooms. Stay with us in the cooler months and there is a wood burner which makes a great focal point to cosy up to. Outside is a private and secure landscaped garden with patio and lawned area.
The Hayloft is situated in a peaceful location with countryside all around but only five mins drive to the pretty little village of Marhamchurch with its traditional pub The Bullers Arms and fantastic restaurant 'THE WEIR' overlooking the canal and wildlife centre. Great for everybody as it has a fabulous outdoor children's play area and romantic walks around the canal. The menu is also truly delicious with a wide range of homemade dishes. The whole family can park and cycle along the canal and back again all on the flat!
The Coastal town of Bude is nearby and offers a wide range of activities with its many sandy beaches, historic castle, canals, cycling, walking, boat trips, leisure centre with heated swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool, surfing and a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. There is also a range of golf courses locally. You can look on our website to book surfing lessons.
GROUND FLOOR: Large entrance hall with natural stoned flooring and bespoke arched double doors leading up to the oak and glass stairs. There are two large well appointed bedrooms Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom has king sized bed, Lcd tv and patio doors which open out to sun terrace and seating area. Second bedroom has king sized and single bed with Lcd Tv and en-suite bathroom. Utility room with washer/dryer, sink, drinks fridge, ironing board and iron. Back door leading out to garden and rotary washing line.
FIRST FLOOR: Open planned stunning living/ dining / kitchen area with glass bi-fold doors that open fully out onto the balcony and terrace area. The modern and contemporary kitchen is superbly equipped for all your catering needs and includes a light and spacious style dining area.
The lounge has a 42" flat screen tv, dvd, sky and cd / ipod docking station. The third bedroom also has a king sized bed, Tv and is situated next to family size bathroom with deep bath and separate shower and heated towel rail. All bedrooms are beautifully decorated with Clarke and Clarke fabrics and matching soft furnishings. All duvets and pillows are duck and down feathers with white Egyptian linens. Every bedroom has a 22" digital tv, hairdryers, bed linen and towels are provided.
OUTSIDE: Fenced large and secure garden with landscaped flower beds, teak patio furniture, BBQ, loungers and alarge store shed with out door toys and plenty of room for bikes, surf boards and golf clubs.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If your a foodie like me there is some truly amazing restaurants nearby worth visiting. 'Lifes a Beach', Elements, The deck, The Bay View, La Bocca, River Life Bistro. We also have some fantastic farm shops which stock great quality produce and delicious home made treats. From home reared award winning beef, lamb and pigs, to home made pies and cakes, you can find them all close by.
RELAX: If you fancy something a little special during your stay we can organize a spa and beauty treatment with The Ocean Spa Room at The Beach House. Specialized therapists can take you on a journey of relaxation and pampering treatments.
We also know what its like to be a parent on holiday so we can help you with providing some of the essentials : cot, high chair,booster seat, stair gate, hand blender, plastic bowls, cutlery, Mclaren buggy, large toy box, books, children's dvds and some outdoor toys for the younger members of the family...... leaving you extra space in your car!

Hi, My name is Caroline I am married to James Congdon and we have two young boys and together with James's parents and the help of our children we run a 200 acre beef and sheep farm and three holiday cottages, situated on the North coast of Cornwall. We both have a great passion for the countryside along with our family farm and love sharing it all with our visitors.
For the last ten years we have been renovating barns and designing houses with our visitors in mind! We have built and furnished them to a high standard keeping them contemporary and modern with homely touches to make a great holiday!
We know how important your holiday is, we go on holiday too (occasionally!), and we all worry about what to expect, that's why we work hard to make sure our properties are well cared for and most importantly you have a great stay.

Mrs Caroline Congdon purchased this barn in 1949
Kitsham Farm has been in the Congdon Family for many generations and is a working beef and sheep farm. Grace Congdon James's grandmother who is still alive today at the age of 103 bought Pegsdon cottage along with its two barns back in 1963. The original cottage was then let for around 40 years. It wasn't until 2004 that James and I decided to move into the cottage and renovate the two barn ourselves into luxury self catering holiday homes. This has enabled us to follow our dream of providing great value, stylish holiday cottages in Cornwall without compromising on quality of location or interior design.
Hunters Lodge is a gorgeous two bedroom barn with a great kitchen for cooking and entertaining, a lovely light lounge to get together with the family and a luxury bathroom for pampering. All on one floor its great for young and old.
We have now been running Kitsham Holidays successfully for ten years and we now have lots of visitors who return back to us every year.
Over the last two year we have been busy building another brand new house 'The Lookout' in the village of Marhamchurch. What was a 1940's bungalow was demolished and we built a beautiful spacious, modern and contemporary house with living area upstairs and three bedrooms down stairs sleeping six. The views from the house are just amazing even we have stayed there and did not want to come home!! We are constantly updating our properties as we love keeping them fresh and up to date.

We think Kitsham Holidays is a wonderful spot and most of our guests agree. Spacious, idyllic and utterly tranquil. It's also a great location for exploring Cornwall - just a short drive to the many great beaches. Our nearest beach Widmmouth Bay has just won a blue flag award for cleanliness and water quality which is brilliant news for us. We are a short distance from the A39 the main road through Cornwall so easy access to most attractions.
Our properties are five-star with Egyptian cotton linens, underfloor heating, oak beams and floorboards, wood burner, Wi/Fi plus top-spec German appliances and bathroom fittings provide every comfort and convenience.
Although Cornwall is thought of as a Summer vacation, our wood burning stove and underfloor heating makes it a cosy Winter retreat. During the shoulder season the barn can be booked for long weekends - ideal for walks on deserted beaches and sampling local pubs.
A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking with final balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. We accept bank transfer or Cheques should be made payable to Mrs C Congdon
