About Malcolm Sayer

I have lived in Girona with my family for the last 20 years. It´s a fabulous city, so steeped in history and picturesque. I love the outdoor way of life and the options around Girona are limitless: from exploring the delightful fishing villages of the Costa Brava, to trekking in the Pyrenees; skiing in Andorra to fine dining in the numerous excellent farmhouse restaurants; sightseeing in Barcelona or just strolling round the ancient streets of Girona. I am a teacher and have two sons. I bought this house in April 2012 and shortly after my work brought me back to London. For this reason I am now renting the property.

A great location

The villa is located in the very picturesque setting of Girona Golf urbanization on a quiet street with stunning views of the surrounding forest and the Pyrenees mountains. Plenty of room for the wife and kids to relax and destress. The pool, as is the villa, is on the side of a hill with steps up from the street to the villa and then the pool. We enjoyed the large rooms and comfy furniture as well as the quick access to Girona old town (5 minutes by car). This was our first visit to Girona, but certainly not our last. The city is wonderful and full of beautiful buildings, museums, great restaurants and small shops.

We would certainly recommend the villa to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful break. We would have awarded 5 stars if not for the slow wi-fi and poor mobile signal, both of which I assume are the consequence of the secluded location and surrounding mountains.
