About Mrs Jacky Hassan

I live in Wales with my husband, 2 children and 9 year collie cross. As we are both work in Education, we are very fortunate to get plenty of holidays. We have been visiting friends in the Jalon valley for many years. It is a wonderful area to visit and no matter what you enjoy doing on holidays, be it activities, swimming, relaxing, eating, sightseeing etc, there is something close by. Our children who range between 13 and 21 have enjoyed coming to this area since they were little and have always found plenty to do.

Mrs Jacky Hassan purchased this villa in 2012

Why Mrs Jacky Hassan chose Alcalalí

Since it is such a beautiful region, and is within an hours drive of both Alicante and Valencia's airports, we knew that this was where we wanted to eventually buy a place. We love the area as it great for walks, going to the beach, restaurants (some within walking distance), and visting the kids attractions such as the ever popular Aqualandia and Terra Metica. We all enjoy visiting the local markets, rastro, eating all the local and very cheap fruits such as oranges, lemons, grapes, pomegranate, and almonds which you can see growing everywhere. It is beautiful in spring when the valley is covered with almond blossom. Denia is about 20 minutes away where there is a shopping Mall as well as good shops near the sea front, a roman museum and a night market, open every evening.

What makes this villa unique

Our house, which has a spectacular view along the Jalon valley, and, as it is set well down from the road, feels quite private. The pool, like the house, has the advantage of not being overlooked. Being within an hours easy drive of the airports means that after landing, you can very quickly be relaxing in the pool! The driveway is large enough for up to 4 cars. During Fiesta season, you have views of the fantastic firework displays from the villages all along the valley. During this Fiesta season, everyone is welcome to join the locals in the celebrations, and can party till the early hours with some brilliant entertainment and bands from all over Spain. If you're lucky, you may be there during the great village water fight in Lliber. If you're in the village, then you're fair game!

Stunning views and very relaxing.

We had a wonderful week in this villa in Alcalali. The house was clean and tidy and it was well equipped. The wifi was very fast and much appreciated by our children!! We were met by friends of the owners who were very welcoming and helpful.

The views from the naya are amazing and we spent many hours relaxing with a glass of wine from the local bodega.

The local restaurants were great and there were plenty to choose from. We loved visiting the rastro in Jalon on the Saturday morning and the beaches in Denia and Moraira were enjoyed by all of us.

I would definitely recommend this villa for anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the sun.
