Vindrac Alayrac, Tarn, Midi-Pyrenees, France - In A Secluded Valley, Private, Peaceful And Tranquil, Close To Medieval Town

La Mouline was once a small working water mill, producing flour and baking bread for the local community in it’s wood fired oven. It is now a comfortable and spacious home retaining many original features. The large kitchen-dining area has French windows opening onto the covered terrace, BBQ, pool and garden. Another small terrace offers a great place for morning coffee or aperitifs. The medieval hilltop town of Cordes, with quaint narrow streets and artisans’ shops market and everyday shopping is less than 10 minutes drive. Albi, home to the Toulouse Lautrec Museum is 30 minutes drive and Toulouse about an hour. The forest of Gresigne is close by and is a great place to walk, gather mushrooms and explore. The area is a large wine producer. The closest one, not far from the end of our lane, has won many medals for roses and reds. Other activities include golf, tennis, fishing, canoeing, cycling and horse riding.

Fantastic gem in the heart of the Countryside

The property was fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again (which is the first time I've said that). The house provisions were plenty, thoughtful and modern but did not harm the beautiful quaintness of the property. Only 30 minutes away from Albi and its stunning Cathedral you will not be lost for things to do. The outside eating area was perfect after a long stressful ;) day in the pool with a large table, bbq area and fridge within easy reach from the main kitchen. The view from the sunloungers across the pool to the farmers fields was breath taking every evening. The wildlife in the area was also varied from Buzzards to deer to red squirrels. It was rural but close (10 minutes) to a Spar or 8 a hiut mini market. Book this property you will not be disappointed.

A large covered dining terrace with drinks fridge, built in BBQ, table and chairs for 8, also settee and easy chairs. Private 12 x 6m pool with roman steps able to be heated at extra cost. 8 sun loungers, a poolside table with parasol. Small terrace looking down the valley with table and chairs. Utility Room: Large Belfast sink, automatic washing machine, iron, ironing board and indoor clothes line. Vacuum cleaner, mops and buckets etc Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Hand, bath towels and all bed linen provided. Please bring own pool towels. Property is cleaned before each rental, extra cleaning is available upon request at extra cost. Linen is changed weekly. Baby sitting, Travel cot, 2 high chairs available Other: Rustic Games room in the bottom of the barn with table tennis, table football, dart board.
