The apartments of the Gold Crown holiday complex Dona Lola are right beside the sea. This privately owned air-conditioned penthouse is on the third (top floor - no lift) and has wonderful, unimpeded views of the sea and coastline. On a clear day the Atlas Mountains are visible and of course The Rock of Gibraltar is on the horizon. Its an ideal place to relax on those long, hot sunny days, watching diving birds and ferries and in the evening those lighted, floating palaces known as cruise liners. Don’t forget those romantic evenings watching the amazing sunsets with a glass of wine in your hand.

About the Owner

My husband and I bought this spacious apartment because its in a popular resort, with mainly British people but a generous smattering of other European citizens as well. Also the resort has everything a holidaymaker could want or need. There are restaurants with excellent food that we love.

We enjoy playing tennis and walking and also driving to see all the amazing places in Andalucía.

Calahonda is a vibrant area to stay in. The people are very friendly at the resort. You need never feel alone no matter what time of the year the apartment is visited - there are always people around, but not necessarily "in your space". The easy access from the airport makes this apartment number one ideal holiday destination. parking your car couldn't be easier, no payment for jumping from your holiday apartment straight into your car parked outside the block. Couldn't be easier. The view from the balcony was the main reason for buying this property

Car hire is not necessary at the resort but could be useful if guests want to go sightseeing.

Sightseeing can be arranged in the reception area of Dona Lola resort.

The resort has Dynasty Bar which is open all day and offers breakfasts, lunches, tapas, happy hour and evening entertainment. Activities include a family quiz night, wine tasting, Spanish lessons and a paella demonstration.

Vista Mar poolside restaurant offers lunchtime menu and a poolside bar. Fine dining and entertainment in the evening.

Perhaps walking on the beach is your thing. There are lots of interesting things on the beach like shells and pieces of driftwood that can be used as decoration in the apartment. Also the walk is quite a strenuous exercise - which is really stimulating an d appetite inducing.
