About the Owner

I have owned Easternmost for about 4 years now, and hope to live here full time myself in a few years' time.

I've travelled extensively myself and frequently stay in Owners Direct properties in Spain so I think I have a good idea of what people look for in a self catering property.

I have worked as a professional cook around Scotland, mainly in fishing lodges in the highlands so the kitchen at Easternmost is carefully equipped.

Sandy my partner is an Ecologist and Countryside Ranger so he's always busy photographing insects and flowers and birdwatching when we come up.

We both like to be active outdoors, so usually bring our bikes and this year (2014) we've purchased wetsuits to extend the swimming and snorkelling season in the sea and lochs.

Back again (previously stayed April 12 - super, well-equipped house in great location) & despite extensive discoveries previously, have found some fabulous new walks - Glen Moidart being a favourite. Superb weather for 9 out of 10 days - T-shirts and sunglasses!!

Great base and a really comfortable cottage. Saw 3 otters in river just yards from here.

Excellent well equipped cottage. Great location.

A lovely cottage. Well equipped from the kitchen to an envious library and wifi. Clean and accessible. A real bonus is the wood burning stove. Great location with good walks nearby plus bird watching and fishing etc. Acharacle, close by, has good amenities including shop, hotel selling good food and drinks and Internet cafe. We had a wonderful week walking and exploring. In fact there is too much in the area for one week so we'll be back! The owner is helpful and friendly and we were made welcome from the moment we booked.

A lovely, well run and comfortable cottage with wifi, perfect for exploring the beautiful West Coast

  • 5 of 5

An absolutely gem of a place this spacious home from home had everything we needed and more for our week's stay. The owner was very helpful and accommodating, the kitchen was well equipped and the living room had comfy sofas and a log burning stove for cosy evenings in. A separate dining room/library meant we could easily entertain friends, too.

The local village, set on the loch, was a friendly little community with a great shop, hotel restaurant and Internet cafe and there was plenty to explore in the area. Two favourites were a walk to the beautiful 'singing sands' beach and a trip to the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point. Highly recommended!
