About the Owner

We are a family with 2 young children we work in London and escape here when we can. We hope that your stay at our cottage will give you as much enjoyment has it has given us.

We have been rennovating the estate's main house Trallwyn Hall which can be found up above the valley. This is a gradual process which is nearly complete.

Bont Lodge

The lodge was in an idyllic location and extremely peaceful. It was well equipped and it was good to be away from communications and wi-fi although the kids wouldn't agree!

The sofa needs replacing - not at all comfortable!

The bedroom with bunk beds needs blinds in the ceiling windows; it is very light in the evening and morning for what is a childs room. We used pillows and cushions to block the light - not ideal.

Putting those two points to one side, it was great and highly recommended!

Location

From the Owner

We were lucky to inherit this small and remote Estate in 1990. It presented a challenge with a limited income and its buildings either abandoned or in disrepair. But it also presented us with a clean sheet. Much has been achieved, many of the buildings have been renovated the land greatly improved. Our aim is to sensitively modernise but leave the magic .
