Mulberry loft is situated on the top floor of this historic grade II listed fishing cottage. Accessed up some stone steps leading to the loft. Mulberry loft has been completely refurbished to provide modern comfort whilst retaining many original features. Full gas central heating with on demand hot water, high quality bedlinen and towels are all included. We include a highchair and cot at the loft at no additional charge. Parking is literally five minutes away at Island Car Park and guests usually drop off luggage outside and park up often for the rest of the holiday as there is so much close by!

About Jenny Hannam

Having spent many wonderful family holiday's in St Ives, we finally decided to buy a holiday home about three years ago. After renting several times in St Ives, we knew we wanted a home which was clean with home comforts including a lovely warm shower and a location that wasn't too far from the beaches and activity, but set back a little to be quiet and finding Mulberry Loft is a dream come true for us and just perfect! Each year we update a little more which includes a luxury bathroom, lots of work outside and skylights and this year we're treating the wooden floors, decorating throughout and updating the living room. We've spent a lot of time in Cornwall and have been lucky enough to have worked at the Cornish University supporting Falmouth and Exeter who share a campus in Penryn. We've also been involved with traditional Cornish Gig rowing which isn't for the faint hearted. I also enjoy the art scene which is very varied to suit all tastes and a treat is attending the local St Ives historic art club. We can't forget to mention the surfing and for us to be honest it is a bit of body boarding in fair weather, so when the surf is right we go down to the beach and watch the experts!

Why Jenny Hannam chose St Ives area

St Ives is perfect with the wonderful as there is so much to do. Feeling arty, then I can go to the local drop in art studios, galleries, the Tate. The light has pulled artists to the area for years. Then there are so many places to walk and our favourite is to walk to Lelant railway station via Carbis bay beaches and catch the train back! With a harbour, three beaches within a stones through, we can spend a lazy day relaxing or having a go at body surfing, or just admiring the many surfers on the beach! The shops are varied and then where do we start with the restaurants! We simply love St Ives x

What makes this cottage unique

The property is in the heart of the historic fishing quarter and grade II listed. The location is central enough, but set back from the busy restaurants and galleries. With so much to do in St Ives, many park up the car for the week not venturing further afield. With a train station and local bus service, getting around Cornwall is reasonably easy. However for those wanting to venture further the famous Eden Project and some wonderful gardens.

2013 - This is our 4th stay in St Ives and each time is just as lovely as the last. Mulberry Loft is one of the nicest places weve stayed, it's clean, quiet and loctation is good. It's sad that our stay is coming to an end but we will be back.

2013 - We were delighted from the moment we arrived and absolutely LOVED our time here. Our daughters felt at home here from the start and we all relaxed and had a brilliant time - it exceeded our expectations in every way. We will be back! Thank you for making this such a comfortable and welcoming place to stay and for all the 'extras' (welcome pack, lovely bedlinen etc.). That made it so special.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home, it is perfectly located and a very homely, bright and airy space to live in. Its our first time in St Ives and we have fallen in love. We hope to be back at Mulberry Loft very soon!

Comfortable and convenient

Perfectly placed, it was easy for us to walk to the beaches, into the centre of town for shopping, and to the bus and train station. Everything we needed was in the house and we loved the sofas, they were massively comfy to sit and relax after surfing and exploring all day. Would definitely recommend. Thank you very much for a great week.

A Real Home from Home.

We spent a wonderful week in the Mulberry Loft.St Ives is a very busy place in the summer,but we were able to do

all we planned because the cottage is in an ideal location.Every day we spent time on the beach it was only a five minute walk to the nearest one.Plus plenty of shops for browsing in or the odd treat.When we got hungry there were

plenty of lovely places to snack or have a special meal.But we did have most of our meals at the cottage as the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare n cook everything from a snack to a full dinner.Also a lovely

big table to sit around and chat about our day.We loved it.

Only one negative about St Ives is the parking,but if you know St Ives you will already be aware of it!!

We couldn't get into the nearest car park even though we arrived quite early in the morning,but being in St Ives

is well worth it,being in the Mulberry Loft made things so much easier...we will be back.

Another excellent stay at Mulberry Loft, so pleased to see it continuing to get the 5 star recognition it so thoroughly deserves.

It is an Immaculately clean, well cared for property, a stones throw away from everything too, which makes it the absolute perfect holiday home!

Light and airy, fresh rooms, comfy beds, lovely comfy living room, amazing power shower.

Everything is just brilliant!!

Stay number 4 already in the planning!!

My 7 year old daughter asked, "Can we pay to stay in Mulberry Loft for 10 years" *If only* 😊

Our second superb visit to Mulberry Loft, with our third already booked. Couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in St Ives after staying in this little gem. Mulberry Loft is just stunning and in a perfect location.

Delightful cosy holiday home

Our whole famly love Mulberry Loft. The listing is accurate in every respect and we particularly love the bathroom! The property is clean, well-maintained and with thoughtful touches that give a real seaside feel. It is close to lovely beaches, wonderful places to eat and to the bustle of this unique town but in this delightful holiday home you can be away from the crowd in moments. We would be happy to recommend it to friends and will be returning in 2016 for our third year there.
