Delightful Bastide village town house.

  • 4 of 5

We have recently returned from a very relaxing two week holiday in the Dordogne, based in Maison Viellet. The house was ideal for our requirements and is situated very near the centre of the Bastide village of Beaumont. The house was comfortable, clean and well equipped and the owners were very welcoming , including the provision of a welcome pack.

There are a couple of bars and three restaurants within the village, our favourite being Chez Claudette, which is just round the corner from the house. Beaumont is within easy reach of Bergerac, Sarlat and lots of delightful villages and vineyards.

Welcome Early Break

  • 4 of 5

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Maison Vieillot.

The house exceeded our expectations, perfect for our group of 4. The

property is located at the end of a short alley in the center of this

lovely Bastide town (it is only the size of a small English village),

so all the essential shops and more are right at your finger tips.

There is also a very large supermarket 2 minutes drive away. On our

previous visits to France we have always stayed in more remote area's,

but this location we found was special and added so much more to our

holiday enjoyment.

The journey from Bergerac airport to Beaumont du Perigord is 25

minutes. As our visit last week was early in the season we found plenty

of things to do and there is a whole host of places to visit and

Janise and Paul (the owners) are delightful and extremely helpful, they

have also put lots of brochures containing information of all sorts of

things that may interest you during your stay.

We can honestly say that we all left wishing we could extend our

holiday, unfortunately we have other commitments so couldn't. We are

now hoping to return to this property in July/August of this year as we

want to enjoy some of the extra seasonal activities that are available
