The Barn at Ivy House Farm offers up to 6 of you, warm, contemporary, self-catering holiday accommodation and the perfect base for a relaxing break or an activity-based holiday.

The Barn is situated down a quiet no-through road in the village of Warslow, in the Staffordshire Moorlands at the southern end of the Peak District National Park, close to Alstonefield and Hartington.

The area is criss-crossed with public footpaths, ranging from some suitable for hardy, all-weather, all-terrain ramblers, to those suitable for a stroll with a buggy.

If you're more inclined to travel on two wheels, the Manifold Cycle Track is within one mile of the holiday cottage and the Tissington Trail and Parsley Hay are within easy reach by car.

Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, Haddon Hall, Carsington Water, Cheddleton Steam Railway, Rudyard Lake and Tittesworth Reservoir are all worth a visit and Manchester city centre with it's vibrant shopping is less than an hour away.

Lovely and relaxing property, very well converted to a high spec. Having three bathrooms is a real plus as is the very well equipped kitchen.

Fab accommodation, the cottage exceeded all our our expectations. We could not recommend enough, great location and a pub within walking distance. We will be back!

We had a lovely weekend break. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Although it was frosty weather the barn was toasty and snug, thanks to a wood burning stove. The bedrooms were spacious and having 3 bathrooms was great for five women! The barn was finished to a high standard.

Fabulous barn conversion in a lovely part of the Peak District just 20 minutes from Alton Towers. A much nicer place to stay than the hotels there! We enjoyed wonderful weather, great British countryside all in the elegant comfort of this brilliant barn conversion. Thank you!

beautifull place

We spent here a week in July 2015.The place in reality is better than in description. The barn is spacious but cozy and very clean. The hosts arranged it ingeniously so kitchen and laundry facilities are like home. There are plenty of books and leaflets about area so even if you have no idea what to do you can use these as help. The barn is located by quiet lane so you can relax in peace and quiet.

Fab Barn! Fantastic Location!

The open plan design of the barn was fab. If you happened to be on cooking duties then it meant you were still a part of all conversations going on!! The bedrooms were fitted out beautifully and the whole of the barn was spotlessly clean. Lucy was very pleasant and told us the housekeeping rules and then left us to it with the knowledge that she was there if we needed her. Set in a fabulous location we will definitely be coming here again.

Fantastic Break

The photos really don’t do the barn any justice, it is beautiful!! Couldn’t fault anything, spotlessly clean and big enough to accommodate 6 girls on a girly weekend. Set in a lovely village not too far from the local pub and town. Would definitely recommend and go back for another stay. The owner is lovely and very helpful :)

Fabulous for walks and cycling

The Barn at Ivy House Farm is adjacent to the Manifold Valley - fabulous walking and cycling country. The whole upper floor of the Barn is a stunning open-plan living and kitchen area, warm and cosy despite the snow outside, and a lovely decorated Christmas tree was waiting for us! The Barn is spacious and well-equipped, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. There are lovely shops and cafes in Hartington, about 4 miles away, including a chocolate shop!

great place.

it is a great place so nice, quite, clean and beautiful. you find everything you need in this cottage. only things that there is no supermarket near to the cottage you need to go to Buxton to do shopping. there is a very small farm shop but has not get everything. no restaurants next to the cottage. other ways everything is fabulous. so pick your stuff with you and enjoy the holiday.
