Lovely house in a beautiful, quiet setting

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the Coach house over the bank holiday weekend. The Coach House was the perfect size for six and had all the amenities you might need (although we struggled to find a bottle opener).

June and Michael were very accommodating and communicative in the lead up to our stay and made us feel welcome on arrival.

The place was clean and had good spaces for relaxing and eating. The kitchen has a lovely aga for when you get back from long walks and the downstairs has underfloor heating throughout. Upstairs there is a log burner.

The gardens are also lovely (although we didn't get to enjoy these as it rained for most of our stay).

The location is also fantastic, only a mile or so to Keswick, which is walkable although along some big roads, and there is a footpath at the back of the house which takes you up to Lanrigg or Skiddaw. There's plenty of parking at the house too.

I'd definitely recommend.
