Excellent Dorset holiday cottage

  • 4 of 5

This is an authentic thatched cottage and comes with all the charm you would expect from a property of this type. It is equipped with all the things you would expect to find in a holiday let and was very clean and tidy on our arrival. The owner was helpful and friendly during the booking process. The cleaner contacted us after our arrival to ensure everything was to our liking. It is located in a small quaint village which is ideally situated for exploring the local countryside and coast.

A step back in time

  • 4 of 5

This charming cottage made the perfect location for exploring the glories of Dorset. Roses still around the door on arrival, even in September and more on the table as we stepped inside! It was just as we had pictured it.

If only the weather had been kinder so that we could have spent more time in the tiny sun-trap of a garden.

We would recommend Milton Cottage to anyone who appreciates spending time in a cottage that has been lovingly restored and survived the many threats posed by the planners to its existence over the years.

Turning back the clock in comfort sums up this tiny slice of history.

Thank you Judith, and Gloria, it was such fun.

A beautiful cottage, that is cosy and well equipped. The courtyard garden is completely enclosed and safe for dogs.

The location is excellent for visiting the surrounding area.

I would recommend this cottage and we will definitely be returning.

Thank you!

Just what the doctor ordered

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I needed to get away from the hustle, bustle, stress and strains of modern day life. We hoped we would find peace and quiet; we were not disappointed. From the moment we drove into this beautiful, picture post card village we started to relax. The cottage was very easy to find from the directions given by Judith. The cottage is stunning. The decor is fresh and sympathetic to the style of this period home. Gloria ensured the cottage was spotless for our arrival. There were also some added extra's, there was a present for us of local tea and artisan biscuits and a goody box for our fur baby; Louie. The garden is private and enclosed, very safe for dogs and Louis loved exploring and sunbathing in the well maintained, high walled haven. I am so glad the April nights are cold; this enabled us to cosy up with the log burner.

The local area is so breathtaking; with Durdle Door beach (as well as many others) within a short drive. The local pub is a 15 minute walk from the cottage and serves decent food; we had the plowmans lunch, it was fresh and ample served with chunks of bread and butter.

The village shop is stocked with anything you could possibly need; much of it local produce.

We very rarely return to the same accommodation as we like to try new places; however, we will definitely be returning here! Thank you for sharing your little piece of perfection.

Idyllic did not want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful little cottage, pure chocolate box and such a privilege to be able to stay there. Judith has thought of everything. Cosy, warm, welcoming and a pure joy. Our 2 cavaliers loved it too. Stairs are a steep challenge but it certainly did not put us off - honestly cannot wait to return for longer. Thank you so much 😊

Lovely authentic thatched cottage

  • 5 of 5

If you like quirky, homely old cottages, then look no further as this is a real gem. When you have somewhere to stay like this, then you don't care what the the weather is like outside, as all you want to do is light the log burner and snuggle up in its authentic beamed interior. Everything you need is there in the cottage, including complimentary welcome present of tea, biscuit's and milk, and if you are lucky enough to book in the summer, you also have a sweet private garden in which to tuck in to them and relax after your travels or days out.

If however you can drag yourself away, then it's only 3 miles country road drive to lulworth cove and all the country and coast delights that spawn off it. This makes it an ideal location for a quiet break in a sweet quiet Dorset village, whilst having easy access to multiple nearby attractions, or alternatively a great base to throw off your office worker shackles and walk and cycle to your hearts content in beautiful countryside until you are tired but happy. I'm definitely coming back!
