Mas Plein Soleil is a spacious, airy, totally refurbished house on three floors, with large gardens and a private pool 12 x 6m located in the countryside between Arles and Saint Remy de Provence. The house has great living space with separate TV room and Games Room, and you will enjoy the experience of al fresco dining either on the large terrace overlooking the pool or at the Pool House. Sunbeds and chairs are provided for the terrace, pool house and pool "beach" area, and there is a large gas BBQ. Local attractions include many vineyards within a ten minute radius, the amazing medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, The Aqueduc Romain and many typical markets. The beaches of Camargue are only a 45 minute drive away. There is a log burning fireplace, iPod docking station, Sonos music system, WIFI and Sky satellite television. Bed linen and towels are all of a high quality. Designer kitchen has every necessity and additional pots/pans/table linen are available in the Utility Room. Cleaning is included in the price.

Notes on accommodation: We regret that we are unable to accept pets or smokers. The garden is 6000 square meters and offers complete privacy. There is a petanque (boules) area below the terrace, which is the perfect spot to relax with a glass of something local! Outside: The house is south-facing with a very large, paved, shaded terrace area for dining, which is also ideal for pre-dinner cocktails! The large private swimming pool 12 x 6m has a Pool House with Summer Kitchen and Fridge. There is also a shower in this area. The 'beach' (paved area), has ample sun loungers and seating. The pool has a security cover which keeps it warm. The grounds of 6,000m2, are beautifully maintained with trees and provencal shrubs. At the bottom of the garden there is a small stream which is part of the Alpilles Canal system, used by the local farmers for irrigation. A large gas BBQ is provided and there is lots of outdoor living space - ideal for gatherings of family and friends. Utility Room: Washing machine, ironing board and iron. Cupboard space houses additional kitchen items, pots and pans, and table linen. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are included in the price. Swimming/Beach towels are also provided. The property will be cleaned for your arrival and at your departure - also included in the price. Should you require additional cleaning this can be arranged. Other: The master suite on the upper ground floor has a study area equipped with printer/scanner/copier. There is also broadband WIFI internet. The Games Room on the lower ground floor is ideal for children, with board games, another TV and sofas.

Fantastic property

My family and I stayed here in June 2016 and had a fantastic time. We have 2 children (2 years and 6 months) - the villa was fine for them although we did have to be careful by the stairs. This wasn't a problem but just something to be aware of when travelling with young children. The pool was brilliant and the exterior and the location is very beautiful. Inside is also very nice, very spacious and comfortable.

The owners were fantastic, responding quickly to queries both in advance and while we were staying at the property.

We were so impressed we are hoping to return again.

5 star luxury villa

There is always a nervousness when you arrive at a new villa hoping that expectations are lived up to but our hopes were well and truly met by this really gorgeous villa. The views are stunning, the pool wonderfully inviting and the inside of the villa extremely spacious and the most fully equipped I have ever visited. I am reluctant to say more because I would like to live here permanently. Maybe I should ask Clare to marry me ?

Gorgeous home close to great village

Our family of four stayed at Clare's lovely villa for a week at the end of June/early July. We confess that we are very particular and demanding about the holiday rentals we choose, and Mas Plein Soleil suited us admirably. Spacious and very comfortably furnished, the description is accurate though the photos don't do the home justice. AC worked brilliantly, the decks afforded fabulous views of the countryside. Very private, hardly any neighbours, and they were really at quite a distance. The pool was large and it was tough to get the kids out of it and out on excursions to Arles, Nîmes, Aigues-Mortes, St-Rémy and everything else that was within striking distance. The best surprise was the village of Fontvieille--a 3 minute drive away--which had more nice restaurants to choose from than expected; we tried Le Patio, L'Oustau Gourmand and La Cuisine au Planet and they were all delicious. The local supermarket and cave au vin were excellent, the shopkeepers were friendly. The Alpilles location is perhaps less well-known than other areas of Provence but definitely worth the visit, especially if you are as keen on history and Roman antiquities as we are... there's even a Roman aqueduct within walking distance! Clare was wonderful in answering all our detailed questions before and after booking, as well as during our stay. She even took the time to meet us and hand over the keys personally, as we happened to be in her area just before heading down south. We would definitely recommend Mas Plein Soleil and stay there again... when we do, we will be sure to catch a movie at the local Fontvieille theatre, which apparently is the oldest continuously operating cinema in France! Thanks again, Clare, for a memorable week in Provence, we hope to visit again.

The beautiful wild beaches of the Camargue are a 45 minute drive away. Notably Les Saintes Maries de la Mer. The coast near Montpellier, featuring La Grande Motte beach resort is also 45 minutes away.

Travel:

45 minutes from Marseilles Airport, 30 minutes from Avignon and 15 minutes from Nimes.

Distances:

The house is well located for exploring the Alpilles region and its delightful villages, as well as for excursions to Avignon, Orange, St. Remy, Arles and Nimes.

Further Details:

The house is in a tranquil location just a two minute drive from the town of Fontvieille. There are 3 good boulangeries, 2 supermarkets and 2 newsagents. Chemist, doctors, banks, a post office, gift shops, 2 bars and at least 8 restaurants! There is also an excellent local-produce vegetable shop and the weekly market in Fontvieille is on Thursday. Saint Remy de Provence has a wonderful market on Wednesday and Saturday, and the market in Arles on a Saturday morning shouldn't be missed!

Booking Notes:
We ask for half the rent at the time of booking and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday. If booking is within 6 weeks of arrival we require full payment at the time of booking. A damages deposit of €500 is required at the time of final payment and is refundable after departure. Any breakages, etc. will be made against the deposit. In case of cancellation, the reservation deposit will be retained unless we can re-let or the whole payment if six weeks before your arrival date.


Changeover Day:
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday with a minimum stay of one week.
In order to clean and check the house we ask guests to arrive after 15.00 pm and to leave by 10.00 am on the day of departure.

Notes on prices:
Prices are inclusive of all linen, towels, beach/pool towels, electricity for air conditioning and water. A 50% deposit is required on booking and the balance plus 500€ damage deposit must be paid 6 weeks before the holiday begins. The damage deposit will be repaid by internet banking within one week of the end of the holiday minus any charges for damage. Please note that there are no extra charges for winter breaks - full central heating is included in the price.
