This well-appointed bungalow is beautifully furnished, with the benefit of 2 bathrooms, making it an ideal property for 2 couples. A large decked area, leading from the lounge patio doors provides a delightful vantage point towards Skiddaw and the opportunity for breakfasting in the morning sunshine. The spacious lounge has 2 comfortable settees, TV, DVD, CD/radio player, with open fire (coal not included). There is a separate dining room with sliding doors opening onto rear patio. The kitchen is well-equipped with double electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There are 2 wonderful bedrooms. The front bedroom has a king-size bed, whereas the rear bedroom has a super king-size bed, which can be split into twin beds (advice on booking). The main bathroom has a bath, with shower over, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. There is also a shower room with rainfall shower and detachable head, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. WiFi internet access.

We stayed in Autumn leaves in 2004 and thought it was beautiful then, but is is even more so now. Spotless, comfortable, well equipped and every need catered for. We were lucky to have lovely warm sunny days so made good use of both patios. Good pubs in the village, excellent food at the Royal Oak and super location for walks from the door or easy access to other locations. Strongly recommend
2 week Easter holiday
A lovely warm welcome greeted us at this very clean, well eqipped and extremely comfortable cottage. Very comfortable bed and perfect location for our walking holiday. No noise from the adjoining properties which were occupied. Royal Oak very good pub. Middle Ruddings good if you are a keen dog fan.
We needed a location on one level for two retired couples, close to Keswick for sentimental reasons and with easy access to Penrith station. 'Autumn Leaves' best ticked those boxes, along with ample warmth, most comfortable beds and a spacious kitchen with all that we could possibly need. Two husbands with long experience in the editorial field could spot barely the slightest shortcoming (high praise!) - and even managed a working session while the ladies shopped!
We enjoyed two excellent meals next door at Middle Ruddings, and visits to nearby Thornthwaite Gallery. Most of all, we were able to re-visit many places in the area that three generations of our family have appreciated over the years. Thank you, Caroline, for providing such a welcoming base to return to each day.
Communication worked smoothly during the booking process, while we were at the bungalow and following our return home.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Braithwaite. Autumn Leaves bungalow was perfect in every way. Spotlessly clean and the two bathrooms were amazing. The only fault was traffic noise.
Autumn Leaves is that rare beast - the self catering accommodation with everything! It's warm, comfortable, has fabulous views, plentiful hot water and a well equipped kitchen with a bread knife that actually cuts bread!
The walk in shower was perfect for my Venerable Pa who has reached the age when everything on one level is a real bonus. The seating area in the front of the bungalow was the icing on the cake.
I would recommend Autumn Leaves to families, couples and anyone who is looking for fabulous accommodation in the Keswick area.
Lovely property with all the home comforts. We loved the views and it was nice to have accessibility to walk to the hotel next door for Sunday lunch. The property is very nicely decorated and surpassed our expectations. The bathrooms and bedrooms were well equipped and modern. It is very conveniently located for Keswick and easy to find just off the main road. The road is the only downside for traffic noise however you can't do much about this and it would not put us off returning to this lovely property. Thank you to the owners who were very helpful.

After the scores of sunny yellow daffodils blanketing the countryside, Spring has now truly arrived in The Lake District. Rhododendrons and Azalea’s are all in a bud and beginning their spectacular show. Be inspired and visit Holehird, just outside Ambleside along the A591.
