The Palm Tree Villa was designed by Athens architect Nick Kanetakis, and is an ideal property for families and couples of all ages. It has its own private pool and wonderfully groomed gardens. Its unique location is perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday, with easy access both north and south, to Corfu’s wonderful beaches, night life and historic locations. It is peaceful but not remote, ideal for anyone seeking privacy, peace and tranquillity, for reading, exploring the farms treasures or just enjoying the breathtaking views on the veranda or by the pool.

We are a couple from Athens, and we moved to Corfu 6 years ago, where we live and work.This fabulous holiday home was built from the ground by my father, who spent most of his years in West Africa. He fell in love with the magnificent views and the olive groves. We have many fond memories from our holiday home, and we are happy to share it with our guests, hoping that they enjoy it as much as we did.As of this year, we live on the premises,but guests will enjoy total privacy in the house, veranda, garden and pool area.

Spacious, high comfort, in beautiful surroundings

My family and I had a perfect 10 day holiday at Palmtree Villa. Liana and Makis were the ultimate hosts, giving us all the information we needed to get the best out of our time on the island. Having said that, we spent many days just relaxing by the pool or on the veranda, or even indoors. It is equipped so well that we didn't want for anything and felt immediately at home when we arrived.

The villa is really spacious and beautifully presented, everyone had their own space. Outside, the grounds are well looked after and there is a large vineyard and citrus/olive grove to wander around. The grounds are not overlooked by any buildings and you really feel as though you have claimed your own piece of paradise.

Night time in the villa was really comfortable and our two teenage kids didn't once complain of being bored. There was a large flat screen TV and DVD player. We hooked it up to our laptop with an HDMI cable (provided!) so the kids could watch Netflix. The stereo sounded great and a cable was supplied for attaching a phone for playing music.

The island itself has much to offer and we only just scratched the surface. Corfu town is only a 20 minute drive away, the west of the island around 25 minutes and the north coast well under an hour, through gorgeous scenery.

We hope to return!

A special house

Palm Tree Villa is a beautiful building, built as a family home and as such really provides a home from home experience. Loads of space to relax in, clean and very well equipped. Perhaps showing its age a little, with a few minor faults (pool and some outdoor lights not working, automatic gates bit erratic, struggled with hot water in one shower sometimes) but absolutely nothing that would detract from a wonderful holiday.

The view and outdoor space are fabulous. Sitting in the shady areas, or on the terrace in the evenings listening to the unfamiliar wildlife sounds proved to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable aspects of the holiday.

Definitely need transport. Only a 5 min drive to a good supermarket and further over the road to the town of Gouvia with a good range of restaurants, shops and bars and an OK beach.

The location on the island is excellent with very easy drives into central Corfu town, which is fab day or night, the east coast pebbly beaches, west coast sandy beaches, Aquapark and airport.

The help provided by Liana the owner was very much appreciated, as she went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay and provided a lot of useful information on the surrounding area, allowing us to discover some excellent spots we may never have found ourselves.

I would recommend Palm Tree Villa to anyone who wants a relaxing stay in a quiet but accessible area of a beautiful island.

One amazing week in Corfu

I had the pleasure of staying a week at the Palm Tree Villa with eight of my friends. The Villa is large, well maintained, has a view of the sea and is situated just a little bit outside of Gouvia which is a nice town with some bars and restaurants. The location is great and you can walk to a big supermarket nearby. It took us about 20 min to walk to the supermarket, and about 20 min to the closest beach. However, walking up the road can be a little bit tough and renting a car is recommend (at least for a couple of days to do some shopping and to see the nice beaches of Corfu).

We who rented the villa was in the age group 25-30 and we found activities and attractions that suited us close to where we were staying. There are for example some night clubs and restaurants in Gouvia town which is 20 min away by walking. We also rented a van for a couple of days which enabled us to see more of the beautiful island of Corfu and it's beaches. The owner of the house also helped us find some of the more secluded beaches which were really nice.

I would certainly recommend renting this property to anyone I know. The owners were super friendly, they provided excellent service, and they took really good care of us. The listing's description is accurate although I found the house to be nicer than I imagined from the pictures.

The area above the Gouvia Marina,is tranquil and green, and has easy access to the Gouvia Village, for shops, bars restaurants, and the nearest beach. The Marina is also a wonderful place to walk,enjoy the sun drinking a cold beer and watching the yachts coming and going. Corfu Town with its beautiful historical center and sights,is also 15 minutes away. Corfu island is for relaxing as well as exploring its fabulous beaches, mountains and villages. The location of Palm Tree Villa is ideal for all the above.
