The properties are all four star, spacious & modern cottages, fitted and equipped to a high standard. See own website at foot of page. They are situated on a working farm on the peaceful & beautiful North Northumberland Coast. All have secure gardens. Sandy beaches and rock pools to the north & the south of the farm. There is some water sport to the south. Easily reached from the A1. Car essential. Railway stations are at Berwick-upon-Tweed, 14 miles & at Alnmouth, 19 miles. Free Wifi available.
My husband has lived at Elwick all of his life & when we got married in 1970 we set up home here. We have three daughters, all married now, but the oldest one, her husband & their two boys now run the farm. They moved into our house but we still live on the farm. We have been involved with holiday cottages for thirty years now & thoroughly enjoy meeting visitors who have now become friends & new ones who we hope will. As we live 'on the spot' we are available to answer questions or sort any problems that anyone may have.

Our cottages were all used as farm workers homes & have gradually been changed over the years as they have been vacated. We live in a beautiful peaceful part of the world & consider ourselves very lucky. When we return from a holiday we always say 'well, our coastline is beautiful here too'. The population here is small & the roads not nearly as busy as further south, so getting around is not a problem.
We are very convenient for the A1, the coast, the hills & the Scottish Borders. In half an hour one can be some distance away.The train can have you into Edinburgh from Berwick-upon-Tweed in 40 mins.
Newcastle is an hour's drive away & has many museums, multiplex cinemas, shops & restaurants.
Bookings can be made by telephone or email & will be confirmed by either letter or email. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer. We charge a deposit & ask for the balance to be paid four weeks before the holiday date.
Dogs only accepted in Shepherd's Cottage, The Martins, Bill's House & Gardener's Cottage by prior arrangement.
Thelma's House & Gardener's Cottage are Friday changeovers
The Martins, Shepherd's Cottage, Six The Square & Bill's House are Saturday changeovers.
Arrival is not before 3.00pm & we ask that departure is by 10.00am.
