Originally built as a hunting lodge by local gentry, and one of the finest houses of the period in the area, this medieval Manoir profits from an elevated position, with breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. This traditional stone house offers comfortable accommodation whilst preserving many of its original features including beautiful terracotta tiled floors, oak beams and stone fireplaces. All double beds are box spring king-sized. The solar heated, swimming pool is set into a large terrace next to the house and is overlooked by the magnificent Loggia which provides excellent al-fresco dining facilities for at least 14 people, with a summer kitchen, BBQ, wood fired pizza oven, gas oven and fridge freezer. The pretty villages of Laroque Timbault and (the aptly named) Beauville, are less than ten minutes’ drive away and offer shops, restaurants and, in summer, the popular night markets. Agen with its boutiques, supermarkets, restaurants, markets, concerts, night-clubs, museums and everything that you would expect in a large town is only half an hour away.

By Air -The nearest airports are-Toulouse about 90 minutes; Bergerac about 1 15 mins hour and Bordeaux about 2 hours 20 direct regular flights from London & many smaller UK airports.

Ferries are to Calais/Le Havre and to St Malo. The distance is about 8 to 10 hours drive.


Eurostar runs via the Channel Tunnel between London and Paris, or to Lille avoids the need to change stations in Paris. The TGV connects to Agen, which is the nearest station to the property.


The nearest village of Beauville is about 4 klms away and then there are the larger towns of Agen and Villeneuve Sur Lot.

Changeover day is Saturday. To secure a booking a deposit of 25% of the rental cost is required. On the final invoice a Security deposit is included (against breakages etc. and extra cleaning if required). The security deposit is of course refundable if not used. Tenants must arrange Travel, Holiday, Cancellation and personal liability insurance.

Changeover day is a Saturday, Arrival time is from 4 pm on wards and on the day of departure please leave by 10 am.

  • Notes on accommodation: This property is only a Saturday to Saturday changeover Outside: To the left of the parking is a covered games room with table tennis table. There is also a boule court set into the side of the hill, providing a wonderful place to enjoy an aperitif whilst taking in the views and a quick game! The swimming pool is set into a large terrace, next to the house and is overlooked by the magnificent Loggia which provides excellent al-fresco dining facilities for at least 14 guests. The area includes a summer kitchen with BBQ, wood fired pizza oven, gas oven and fridge freezer. There is also an outdoor shower and a plentiful supply of loungers and chairs. There are several terraces around the property which provide guests with private areas in which to relax and enjoy. Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine and dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and house towels are included in the rental price but please bring your pool towels. The property is cleaned ready for your arrival & we ask that you leave the property in the same state of cleanliness as you found it on arrival. Other: The dining room contains a dresser plentifully supplied with crockery a long refectory table with benches on either side, and chairs at either end, which can comfortably seat up to fourteen.
