If you are looking for a villa with character and a country setting, without being too far from town, then Varidya View is for you!

The villa has two bedrooms, a twin bedroom and double bedroom that has an en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle, wc & hand basin on the ground floor. There is also a den style lounge that has a comfy day double day bed, as it has a proper mattress, this is suitable for 2 extra people. The room has a heavy curtain that can be pulled to close it off, making it a third bedroom, The den room, does not have storage or hanging space for clothes, so the wardrobes in the other bedrooms can be shared.

Perfect for an afternoon siesta or to watch television or a DVD. The room also has an open fire place for cozy early or late season evenings.

You can throw open the wooden doors to the downstairs terrace to let the breeze in.

The dining room & kitchen are open plan with the traditional wood theme running throughout the house.

There is plenty of room to prepare home cooked meals and the kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher kettle, toaster & water cooler. The villa also has a washing machine and the ground floor has air con and just open the doors from the dining area and kitchen to catch the breeze.

Take your morning coffee onto the terrace area and just relax as you see the pomegranate fields ahead of you the mountains not far away.

As you climb the wooden stairs a treat awaits you!

The open plan space is your window on the world, help yourself to a book from the wide choice on the bookshelf settle onto the comfy corner sofa (this also converts to a double bed) and relax. Handily, there is a kitchenette area at the end of the room with a sink & fridge, perfect for chilling the wine or making a cuppa.

The stone fireplace almost makes you wish for a cooler evening just to light it and snuggle up, after having a Jacuzzi bath, as there is one in the bathroom on floor.

The wooden doors lead you onto a large veranda, with stunning views and an outdoor stone BBQ, evenings in never seemed more appealing.

Back outside, is a beautiful mature garden, complete with olive trees and don't be surprised if a neighbor's chicken wanders in to say good morning.

Grab a beach towel from the cupboard & take a dip in the swimming pool, which has roman steps as well as a ladder and is a good size. You can chill out in the Turkish Kosk and flick on the lights in there in the evening, as your own little hideout.

Vardiya View is only 10-12 minutes walk from town, but you will feel like a million miles away.

NB- A security deposit of £100 is due with your balance and refunded after your stay, subject to the villa sustaining no damage during your stay.

About Linda Lee

I live in South Devon, England and since my children are all grown up I have developed a 'love affair' with Dalyan as I have been coming to this beautiful area for over 16 years and it is truly my second home! Over the years I have made many friends and have formed a great affinity with the locality and I love to visit away from the stress of everyday living in England. Having decided to rent out my home when the family aren't using it I have been delighted that my guests have appreciated it - comments from the visitors book - 'What a fantastic villa, traditional, great location, fab pool, spectacular views.' 'Perfect villa with everything you could wish for. 'By far the best villa we have stayed in we will be back!'

Linda Lee purchased this villa in 2008

Why Linda Lee chose Dalyan

I bought a little Turkish style house in 2005 which was renovated into a delightful modern home which had a lovely traditional garden and included a large plot of land. This villa was designed and built on the land with the traditional Turkish house in mind with most of the living accommodation on the ground floor. The second floor living space is great for entertaining both inside and out on the large deck. The views are stunning across open fields to the mountains beyond yet the villa is only a short distance from the shops and the riverside restaurants of Dalyan. We added the pool. The location provides easy access to Dalaman airport, as well as to the huge lake, the river with the famous Lycian tombs, the Mud Baths, the fabulous Iztuzu beach and a host of other beauty spots.

What makes this villa unique

The property is in a very quiet area situated on a small lane serving just a small number of local houses. The tranquillity is added to by a large variety of bird life; at night an owl hunts from the garden electricity cable. The number of living spaces both inside and out make the villa very versatile. We can be self contained upstairs, if we want to be, when the family come to stay, yet we can also be one big family! The swimming pool leads off the lower terrace and it is enhanced by a paved terrace surrounding the pool together with an outdoor shower and sunbeds with covers, small tables and parasols. There is still a spacious area of garden surrounding the villa as can be seen in the photographs. It is impossible not to feel at ease and relaxed in these idyllic surroundings.

What can I say? This is our second three week stay at the Villa Vardiya View.

It is just idyllic, location is wonderful, quiet, fantastic views and a shady terrace from where we watched the sun come up and go down. It is a very private villa and not overlooked at all, so you are able to totally unwind from the everyday stresses of UK life.

We have been coming to Dalyan for several years and there are plenty of things to see and do, including boat trips, eating at lovely restaurants with a view of the tombs, sitting quietly by the riverside with a cold drink watching the world go by or just ambling around the town itself.

All in all the villa is a wonderful base to enjoy your holiday in Dalyan

Owner's Response: So pleased that you and your family have once again enjoyed your stay at my Villa. It is lovely when my visitors appreciate what my home has to offer as much as I do! It is also so good that so many of my visitors want to return again and enjoy the peace and tranquillity in such a beautiful part of the world.

A wonderful villa to relax and chill!

  • 5 of 5

This villa is the nicest one we've stayed in to date. The location is superb overlooking mountain views from both the terrace and the roof terrace (which is where we spent most of our holiday!). The facilities are excellent and the location is within a steady walking distance into town. We went away to relax and recharge our batteries and we were certainly able to do that and did very little else! Co and Maria (who live next door) were extremely helpful and obliging. We had a lovely holiday and hope to return next year.

Just wonderful !!

  • 5 of 5

Can't speak highly enough of this wonderful villa. It was a little bit of paradise and we thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay. Having been to Dalyan a few times, it is easily the best place we have stayed. It is situated in a quiet location about ten minutes walk from the town. The villa has everything you need, very well equipped and maintained. We loved the shady terrace which we used for G & Ts every evening before our barbecue !! We travelled with my Mum who is less mobile and we chose the property very carefully indeed and it did not disappoint. The views from the downstairs and upstairs are simply stunning.

There is a butchers in the town which provides excellent meat for the barbecue and if you don't want to cook for yourself but want to stay at the villa, Metin's Pizza and Pide restaurant does delivery, so you don't have to move from your terrace!! There are excellent restaurants in town which provide for whatever you want.

King Emlak who manage the property provide an excellent service and even the next door neighbours are on hand if there is an urgent need.

Can't recommend this villa highly enough and we have already booked for next year.

Owner's Response: So pleased that my Villa has lived up to your expectations. Every aspect and detail reflects the fact that it is our home and we want other people to enjoy our lovely little bit of paradise. It is always a thrill when our visitors clearly appreciate what we have created and look forward to seeing them back in the future. This year we added the 'kosk' which overlooks the pool and adds another dimension to our delightful garden. The agent in Dalyan and my good neighbours who look after the day to day running of the pool, garden and cleaning are all so helpful which is such a bonus. You can be sure of a warm welcome at Villa Vardiya View!

Lovely villa!

  • 5 of 5

Due to health problems and having to cancel an earlier booked holiday to the villa we normally stay in we were a little bit apprehensive that this last minute choice would be a good one. We needn't have worried as Villa Vardiya View is a lovely villa and ticked all our boxes. It is in our preferred area of Dalyan. The pool was perfect, for my husband who is a good swimmer but also for me, being no good out of my my depth, there was no deep end and it was easy to get in and out of. The garden was lovely and although there were neighbours close by either side we were not bothered by them and it still felt private. The villa had everything we needed and more than enough for just the two of us. It was lovely to have the space and options of where to sit and eat..inside and out. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs terrace/balcony which had sunloungers which was our choice for sunbathing rather than the garden. It was wonderful to look out at the view across open fields and to watch the sun go down. Also what we called the upstairs den was great where we would cosy down to watch one of the selection of DVD's or listen to music after a long day walking, swimming and generally enjoying all that Dalyan offers. It was our 5th time in Dalyan and we will definitely be back and hopefully to this lovely villa.

Superb villa, excellent destination

  • 2 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying in the Varidya View for two and found it to be the best villa we have stayed in. It is very well appointed, has a beautiful pool set in a very well presented garden. Eating the fresh figs from the tree in the corner was something else. The villa is very confortable and is set in a quiet area, we were well supported by King Emlak who were very helpful and very prompt in arranging things such as trips, fresh water deliveries etc. The villa is a pleasnt walk into to the centre of Dalyan which is a great place, with plenty of places to go and have some excellent food. All the people we met were very friendly. Ther are some good boat trips and we would highly recommend a moonlight cruise on the Olive Lounge, brilliant food and floating under the stars on Lake Koycegiz was a night to remember. Vardiay View and Dalyan are somewhere we will return to in the future.

Owner's Response: So pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your positive review. I am sorry that the computer system failed because you told me that you had clicked on the 5 stars but they only came up 2! Anyway the important thing is that you had a wonderful time and it would be lovely to welcome you back in the future.

Just returned from two weeks in Dalyan. We had this villa for the first week of our holiday. We have been to Dalyan a few times now and know the area well. The location of the villa is perfect, so rural and tranquil but a nice 10min walk to town. The design of the villa was perfect for our needs as a young family. The large undercover area down stairs was ideal to retreat from the afternoon sun. We all enjoyed the pool and gardens which were clean and well kept. The living area upstairs was perfect with the huge sofa/day bed. The kids could watch a dvd and we could enjoy cold beers on the balcony taking in the fantastic views and local wild life. We saw the two local owls every day either on the chimney or the balcony railings. The villa its self was well equipped and clean and had a real nice homely feel, just what we were looking for! would recommend to anyone that enjoys nature and wildlife. Will have no hesitation in rebooking for next year.!!

Special interest holidays:

There is an amazing range of habitats in the local area; from the reed beds north of the town to the Koycegiz Lake. With many species of birds, from White Tailed Eagles to Red-rumped swallows, expert birders and amateurs would struggle not to have a great birding holiday. We can organise guided walking tours through areas. We manage perfect accommodation for large groups throughout the year, that are great for comfortable relaxation when not out in the wilderness.

Walking groups taking international excursions are aware of the amazing possibilities available to walkers and ramblers in and around Dalyan, Turkey. There are a number of great walks to be done in the local area; from the walk up to Candir and Kaunos over stunning mountains and rock tombs, to the Liquid Amber Forests of Dalyan. The Famous Lycian Way walk of 300+km across the southern coast of Turkey, is a trekking holiday for the hardcore (especially in the summer).

Dalyan is best known for its lush greenery, the winding river and a beach which is not just a natural wonder but also won The Times Best Open Space Award in 2010. Over 6km of golden sands with access by bus, car and boat there are cafeterias at either end for refreshments but plenty of empty space amongst the dunes to escape to.

The nearest airport is Dalaman which is less than 30 minutes drive away. Once in Dalyan car hire is not essential we are very central to town and town itself is small and everything in easy walking distance.

Everything is within walking or cycling distance in Dalyan. This villa is only 10 minutes walk to restaurants, bars and cafes and the river. Fethiye and Olu Deniz are 50 minutes drive away. Marmaris is about 75 minutes drive. Both of those towns also have ferries to Rhodes.

Further Details:

Dalyan town itself is compact stretching only a mile in any direction from the centre and is framed by a glorious backdrop of pine clad mountains in every direction. The flatness of town make it a perfect place for walking with children and the elderly and a delight to cycle around. For more active holidaymakers there are forests and hiking hills all within walking distance. Dalyan is also distinguished by the lack of package tourists though there are still plenty of bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. If you can’t find the items you want in the shops there is a sweet local market on Saturdays. There are several supermarkets, bakers, butchers, chemists etc to provide for your every need with convenient taxi ranks should you want some assistance carrying your goods home. There are a number of parks for the children and several places on the riverside loan out canoes etc for the active.
