5 bedroom, four bathroom spacious family house on Greenaway, Trebetherick with fabulous views, large garden with footpath down to beach below.

Stepper is named after the rocky point toward which it looks across the mouth of the Camel estuary and on out to sea. Guests wake to a full sea view whichever of the 5 bedrooms they are in and downstairs is the same with two large reception areas. Completely refurbished recently the house is a second home to our family and provides ideal comfort and facilities for families and friends. The House stands in a large garden on the secluded Greenway area and there is a track leading down to the coastal path and Steps beach below. To the left a short walk takes young to sandcastles on Daymer Bay and to the right the surfers can walk to Polzeath beach . A short drive reaches Rock for watersports, golf at St Enodoc and a good range of shops ,also a ferry runs regularly across to Padstow. About the Owner

Our family has holidayed on this coastline our entire lives and we feel very lucky to own a house on the very special Greenaway. We brought Stepper about 20 years ago from the son of the original school master who bought the land and commissioned the building in 1936 and have enjoyed improving it every year. It is a lovely place to spend time with family and friends who have all contributed to the art collection with bits and pieces that makes the house the place it now is. The eclectic collection of painted furniture grows and gives the house a very lived in feel.

We have taken Stepper each year for the last 10 and have had truly wonderful holidays.It is ideally situated to walk to Rock and Polzeath and to all the various beaches. The house itself has been looked after beautifully and it is equipped to a very high standard and unusually for a rental the beds are so comfortable it is quite hard to go home. Works very well with 2 families. The views are spectacular and we love it-a very special place. S.T.



We have been holidaying in Stepper with family and friends for many years and cannot recommend it more highly.It is a very special house with a large garden leading down to cliff top walks to Daymer Bay in one direction and Polzeath beach in the other, with small accessible coves in between. The main/large lounge and dining area are very comfortable and welcoming whether there are two people or twelve.There is also an additional lounge area with a second TV and all of the bedrooms have the same fantastic views across the estuary.

A fabulous house with amazing views.

Stepper is an amazing house. It is in a wonderful position with breathtaking sea views from every room. As soon as we opened the front door we had a warm welcoming feeling. The house is beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. It is a perfect house for a family holiday. We were there for New Year and we were very warm and cosy despite the rain. The drying room was an absolute luxury and would be just as useful in the summer.

The photographs show the house exactly as it is but somehow they do not do it justice.

I cannot recommend this property highly enough. We were a family of three generations with ages ranging from 27 to 87 years and we all loved the house and had a memorable holiday.

We hope to return soon.

Christmas at Stepper

We are a large family with a varied age range and we took Stepper for Christmas 2014. It could not have been a greater success. The house was perfect, scrupulously clean, warm and welcoming. We know the area well and have stayed in numerous houses but this was by far the best. It was clear that a huge amount of work goes into the renovation and maintenance of the property and we all felt thoroughly spoilt. We would not hesitate in recommending Stepper to anyone.

Paradise Found

Stepper is the most glorious house in the most glorious location. Clean, comfortable, and welcoming, it is brilliant for a family of all ages. Six of us adults and two children have been twice now and loved it more each time. The main communal area is the perfect social hub - well appointed and extremely spacious - whilst the quiet and cosy annex is a peaceful sanctuary, affording uninterrupted views of the ever-changing estuary tides. My three year old grandson is constantly saying: 'when are we going back to stepper?' The back garden is large and safe for children. It boasts a boules court with a spectular vista; never have our family rivalries been played out in such a beautiful setting! There are local coastal paths to Polzeath, Daymer Bay and St. Enodoc Church, while Rock provides a ferry service to Padstow. All in all a super house in a lovely spot. Yes, we are going back again. Sitting round the dining room table after dinner with a glass of red, gazing out to the sea is the perfect way to end the day.

Position, views, comfort, nice atmosphere, many bathrooms, convenient downstairs bedroom for grandparents etc, big garden, boules court, peaceful area. Large parking area. A very special house, originally built in 1936 and one of the big white school masters houses built on Greenaway. The thick walls of the house do not allow sound to travel so a very peaceful house to rent.

10 mins to Daymer Bay, sandy beach for babies/young children,

10 mins to Polzeath, for surfing, shops and cafes etc.

10 Mins drive to Rock for sailing, waterskiing and ferry to Padstow.

Travel:

Newquay airport 45 mins drive.

Bodmin Road Station 45 mins. Taxis available.

Distances:

Near Polzeath, and Daymer Bay. Trebetherick village stores 5 minutes walk. Rock 10/15 mins by car.

Wadebridge 20 mins.

Further Details:

Trebetherick Stores for daily papers, all groceries,fresh bread daily. Polzeath for Spar, shops cafes etc. Rock for excellent butcher, fresh fish and bread and much more. Wadebridge for Tesco etc.
