No 5 is set in this traditional Cotswold town, the cottage is newly refurbished in the style of a luxury boutique hotel with the added benefit of your own front door. The town is a fabulous place to enjoy a romatic break or time exploring the area with friends or family. There are many great places to eat and many lovely food shops and a deli to purchase local produce and cook up a feast to enjoy back at the cottage in front of the fire. The owners are local and are very happy to be on hand to recommend local walks, cycle routes or places to visit and eat.

We also have a cycle hire business and can arrange for bike hire, route planning or guiding. Please just email us for further details.

The cottage has a secure rear garden, very suitable for dogs and there are plenty of walks right from the doorstep. The local pubs are all very dog welcoming ...

About Emma Jennings

Hello, my partner Jim and I have lived in Winchcombe for 14 years and we love the town, it has a great community spirit, very friendly, great pubs, restaurants, shops, deli, galleries and antique emporiums.

Jim is a really keen mountain biker (I dabble on the easier trails!) and we love walking our 2 pointer dogs and socialising with our friends. We are really looking forward to welcoming guests to the cottage and will be happily on hand for any advice required by our visitors. Superb stay

We arrived on a beautiful crisp and sunny day and couldn't believe how lucky we were to have found this cosy cottage. The location is in an ideal position close to shops, pubs and restaurants and of course all the wonderful walks.

We loved the cottage and didn't want to leave, hopefully we will return in the future.

Lovely cottage in excellent location

This cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing break.

Its location cannot be beaten for walking with 4 marked footpaths only 100 yards away.

The walk to The Royal Oak at Gretton has wonderful views and a really lovely dog friendly pub stop for lunch.

Check out WinchcombeWelcomesWalkers on the web - it has fantastic walks described in full.

Look no further than The Plaisterers Arms for a lovely dog friendly pub - only 200 yards from the cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Carrot cake and fresh bread that Emma had left for us.

It rained 3 out of our 4 days which was a bit disappointing. So the washing machine came in very handy for our wet clothes and dog towels. (There are 2 dog towels provided as well.)

Despite the bad weather, our car remained parked outside the cottage for the whole 4 days and got fat through lack of exercise :-))

The only reason I did not give this cottage 5 stars was because the kitchen is very small and really can only cope with 1 person at a time. Also the main oven had not been cleaned and it tripped a fuse and then refused to work. But the owners were very quick to respond and very apologetic.

This certainly did not affect our enjoyment of our stay and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Have already recommended this cottage to several of our walking friends and we hope to return when the weather is better.

Lovely cosy country cottage

Cosy, comfortable, well equipped cottage in a great location within the village, close to all local amenities, pubs and restaurants. Winchcombe is a good base for exploring the north of the Cotswolds. Great walks direct from the cottage. Comfortable double beds and cosy front room. Ideal country retreat.

Lovely Cottage in a great location

The cottage is beautifully clean and well equipped. Needed to use heating as weather was on chilly side and it was very warm and cosy. Gas fire is great.

Beautiful cosy cottage, friendly, helpful hosts, great walking base.

Cosy charm with a few quirky twists. Perfect safe, enclosed garden for our dog, who was also made to feel very welcome. Beds really comfy, shower room great.
