Positioned right beside one of the two Mijas Golf Courses (Los Lagos), this air-conditioned apartment has stunning views of greens, fairways, trees and lakes. The ground-floor location has the benefit of a lawn in front for extra sun-bathing, and somewhere for the children to run about safely in a secure community. The swimming pool is heated in main holiday periods - a rare benefit in this area. A car is needed, but that means just 30 minutes from Malaga airport and 10 minutes from Fuengirola's beaches, shops and nightlife. Some excellent restaurants nearby.

Why Chris Spearing chose Mijas

I wanted a golf-related location, and this is front-line with a fantastic view over the two Mijas Golf courses. It's only 30 minutes drive from Malaga airport, so convenient to just pop over for a few days. Nice and quiet - but if I want some beach fun or a little noise or night-life, Fuengirola is just 10 minutes away by car (a car is essential).

What makes this apartment unique

Not many apartments enjoy this superb view!

The fact that the pool is heated (in holiday periods) is very unusual for this area.

Being ground-floor it has the advantage of leading straight from the patio to the lawn. Nice for children, and there is nowhere for them to run to and get into any trouble. The Las Golondrinas community is also secure with electronic gates and pass codes.

Outside: The front patio is large and west-facing. It has a BBQ, table and chairs and two sun-loungers and leads down to a small lawn, separated from the golf-course by a low row of shrubs The rear patio is enclosed, facing East The shared pool (heated in main holiday periods) is a good size and is just outside the front door in a secure area for children, and is entered by use of a security code. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed-linen and towels included (but not swimming towels). These are changed at the same time as cleaning - this is done prior to your visit, or during your visit if more than one week

Really good instructions to property..key holder met us even though 4 hr delay...

Everything you could need,nice and clean the only gripe was the bedrooms perhaps should have been furnished better especially the master no mirror etc( all women need one ) and some bedside cabs in the smaller one..good value for money..breathtaking views really good info pack

Photos don't do apartment justice it was first class. The location was a picture, property was spotless couldn't find fault with anything. Maybe another bed side table in second bedroom would be nice. Chris Spearing provided excellent communication throughout. Can't wait to go back.

Just a great place

Excellent apartment. Very clean and comfortable with good kitchen facilities. The directions and help given from the owner was much appreciated. As two golfers we didn't use the pool, just metres from our doorway as was the parking speck. Two Mijas courses were in superb condition. Also played Santana only 5 mins by car. Internet access was available via a pre pay provider. We took the weekly rate of 19 euros. The barbecue on the patio was a bonus together with the view across the 5th, tee and 4th green of the Los Largos course. We (60+ golfers) highly recommend this property. Although adjacent to the golf course a car is highly recommended.

Location

Coast/Beach:

10 minutes drive to Fuengirola's splendid beaches

Travel:

25-30 minutes drive from Malaga airport.

Use of a car is highly recommended

Distances:

Within a short walking distance are 2 or 3 very good restaurants and the Matchroom Club. The local supermarket is a 2 minute drive away, and an Iceland is about 7 minutes drive (Myramar). Just down the road is a huge public BBQ area.

Mijas Pueblo - a picturesque village - is a short drive away

For shopping, nightlife and beaches, the nearest location is Fuengirola, 10-15 minutes

Further Details:

A 5-minute walk away is El Golf, which has a bar with good atmosphere, and a restaurant where the food is excellent. They also do take-away pizzas and pastas.

A little further takes you to La Morena (a grill/barbecue also excellent).

La Venta restaurant - as the name suggests - is local cuisine
