A luxurious cottage refurbishment boasting many green credentials, Higher Orchard nestles in the peaceful hamlet of Idston close to Loddiswell and 5 miles from Kingsbridge and the beaches of Bigbury, Bantham and Hope Cove. A fusion of modern and chic contemporary style your supreme comfort has been considered at every point. Its interior has a reverse level arrangement with open plan living room on the first floor with a stylish woodburner to cosy up to on cooler days. 2 bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms add a touch of glamour, each dressed in exquisite linens with luxurious mattresses, the master bedroom with 6'' zip and link bed.

Higher Orchard adjoins the owners property, but enjoys a very private position with its own flight of external stone stairs leading to the entrance and a private patio and garden equipped with garden table and chairs.

Fab upside down place to stay with friendly welcoming owners - would stay again

Gorgeous cottage, upside down layout, just to note showers only (no bath - I didn't read the bumpf properly!!), swing in the field for the kids, lovely outside eating area, clean & light, friendly welcoming owners (thank you for all the goodies & veg!!) with loads of advice about great places to visit + an OS map of the area to use. V narrow lane to get to it so heed the advice about having a torch if arriving in the dark - preferably don't!! It would be tricky to find. So quiet with beautiful views. And obviously the surrounding South Hams were fantastic to explore. Would definitely recommend & would stay again. Our only issue was flys - loads of them but we're in the countryside & it was v warm - having a couple of fly swats in the house would have been useful!! Thanks for a wonderful holiday :)

Higher Orchard lies approximately equidistant from the peaceful villages of Loddiswell and Aveton Gifford (1.4 miles), with both having public houses offering dining facilities. A central spot to explore this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmoor National Park just seven miles and doorstep walks, woodland creeks and ancient towns and villages make a stay in this area, a wonderful experience.
