We had an awesome time at Bramble cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The rooms are beautiful, clean and gives you the authentic English experience. We were a group of 8 and it was very spacious enough.

Paul was spot on with his communication , made the process very easy and was always available for any help.

We would thoroughly recommend the cottage and look forward to returning there ..

Thank you Paul !

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage. Delightful and very comfortable. Very well equipped for all your needs especially if you have children, with a large spacious garden and loads of games and books for them. Perfectly situated for visiting places and for walking holidays. Beautifully decorated and lovely choice of furniture.

Fabulous cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have just had a wonderful stay at Bramble Cottage with excellent weather and great accommodation. The cottage is really well equipped with lots of books and games for all ages. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable. The area is great for beaches and other attractions. We made use of the BBQ a couple of times on the patio and our twin grandchildren aged 2 1/2 loved the garden. I have stayed in many cottages and apartments booked through owners direct over many years and can say this is one of the best we have stayed in.

Excellent cottage, beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

Very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage - the house comfortably accommodated our mixed friends & family group of 8, & worked well for all ages, ranging from 12 to 88. Spacious, with room for all to spread out, including large 100 foot garden; there's a whole cupboard full of garden game sets - we found them easy to set up for impromptu croquet, swingball, badminton, etc, & they still left 50 foot of garden free for quiet sitting & reading for the non game-players! Good range of kitchen equipment, & lovely large dining table where we had some fun communal meals. Barbecued on a sunny evening on the patio, and enjoyed the sunset. South Hams towns and beaches all in easy reach, and we found some beautiful walking country close by. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful Bramble Cottage

  • 4 of 5

The location of Bramble cottage is so convenient, easy to find and gives easy access to all the local attractions and beaches of which there are many. The cottage itself was immaculate - beautifully decorated and furnished and brilliantly kitted out. All cookware, crockery and cutlery was of great quality and in abundance. Fantastic plastic childrens crockery and cutlery also provided. Garden is a joy (Note to parents of children under 3 or 4 - the garden is fantastic however the stone steps up to lawn means parental supervision of littlies is essential - Also take a bath mat as bath is slippery for littlies)

Crabbing in Kingsbridge fantastic at the Crabshell Inn. So quick to Blackpool sands, Slapton Ley, Bigbury and Bantham too. Dartmouth worth a visit and only 30-40 mins from Totnes for Steam Railway, Rare Breeds farm.

Bramble Cottage has become our favourite after many years of renting holiday cottages. Really want to go back without the children in Winter too to fully enjoy the fabulous log burner in the beautiful fireplace!

Wonderful relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was only the second time in South Devon and so we had much to explore and discover. The cottage was ideally placed for access to the sea, countryside and local towns. The property has excellent facilities with a large secluded garden to the rear for relaxing in or for children to play. This is a comfortable family friendly cottage. It has a well equipped kitchen for home cooking, it is spacious giving plenty of room for everyone. We are planning to return in the near future. Highly recommend it.

Location

From the Owner

Purchasing Bramble Cottage has been a two year journey in order to find, what we think, is the perfect property that meets the needs of families wanting comfortable accommodation with a little luxury in a setting that ticks most of the boxes (sea, entertainment, beautiful village). It provides peace and quiet whilst not being off the beaten track.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is approximately 2 miles away and can be reached easily by car in about 10 minutes (beach car park is available). There is also easy access to the estuary that leads up to Kingsbridge and kayaks can be easily hired.

Travel:

The nearest airport (Exeter) is approximately 1 hours drive.

Distances:

The old market town of Kingsbridge provides a good range or local shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and a cinema and is approximately 3 miles away, whilst Dartmouth can be accessed easily by car (8 miles), and local transport giving access to the River Dart.

Further Details:

For those of you with a musical flair, Bramble Cottage has a fully weighted piano (see photo). Ideal for those who need to keep their practice up whilst on holiday or just for the pleasure of making beautiful music. And it saves that extra space in the car!!!!
