Luxury, spacious, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, first floor apartment with sunny balcony. The apartment is on an exclusive development that is private and extremely safe and secure. There is a beautifully landscaped garden with 2 swimming pools (1 baby pool). The apartment is furnished and decorated to a high standard. The apartment is in a superb location within a few minutes of the award winning marina and a short walk to the historic old town. Both the marina and the old town offer a great selection of restaurants, bars, pavement cafes and shops. In addition to the Marina wifi, we have fibre optic wifi via our own dedicated router. English TV including Sky Sports, BT Sport and catch up. English radio stations available via TV. This apartment is fully licensed (14502/AL) and registered with the Portuguese Tourist Board meaning that it complies with specific standards relating to quality and safety.

Lovely Apartment

We had a great week in this apartment . It is in a good location within easy walk of the Marina and the Town Centre is a 10 minute walk over the bridge. The apartment is well decorated with comfortable beds and furniture and the TV has a good selection of channels.

Excellent spacious modern apartment

My husband and I and our children age 13 and 9 stayed here in August 2016. The apartment is really large and spacious with absolutely everything you need for a modern young family. All the equipment and furnishings were up to date , sleek and clean. The layout worked well for us and it felt safe because of the security system. It was never overly busy by the beautiful swimming pool, and we never had a problem getting sun loungers, which was a massive bonus, having stayed at all inclusive hotels more recently which are always jam packed with people. It was an easy walk to the marina, and a bit further into town which was a consideration at night with the kids, but a nice walk which took around 25 minutes. I dealt directly with the owner who was most helpful when arranging transfers and offering information about the local area. We will definitely book this apartment again and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Lovely Apartment

Very pleasing apartment with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and sitting room with large balcony. Looks out over the pool. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owner and agent were extremely helpful and kept in touch, We would recommend this property especially to family with children, it is also within easy walking distance to the Marina and the Town. The supermarket is just across the road and is well stocked. Plenty of activities including dolphin watching boats,

Highly recommended!!!

We have stayed here in this stunning apt. for 2 years in a row and are planning another holiday here in 2015. The apartment is stunning with everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have 2 girls aged 10 & 7 and they love it here and spend all day playing outdoors. The supermarket is a stone throw from the apartment and sells everything you'll need. It's a 2 minute walk from the beautiful marina and a 10min stroll to the beach and town centre. The pool area in our complex is perfect for kids and you can always keep a close eye on them. It's so safe there. We always come home to Ireland feeling so relaxed.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Meia Praia is the nearest beach to the apartment and this is the most famous of the Lagos beaches due to its sheer size, wonderfully clean sand, lovely beach bars and proximity to the town. Meia Praia is an easy 10 minute walk from the apartment. The beaches in Lagos are some of the best in the Algarve and include Batata Beach, Dona Ana Beach, Camilo Beach and the beautiful sandy bay of Porto de Mos Beach.

Travel:

Daily flights operate from the UK to Faro airport. Airlines include Easyjet, Jet2, Monarch, British Airways, Ryanair and Thomson.

Car hire is not essential, however if you would like to travel further afield, there are several companies offering great deals in the UK for car hire in the Algarve region.

Distances:

Faro airport is 80km away and Lagos train station is 0.4km.

Further Details:

Lagos is a beautiful town in the Western Algarve. It is a traditional town with its origins dating as far back as 200 years BC. Lagos has retained its Portuguese charm and heritage and the older parts of town are still bound by its 16th century walls.

The weather in the Algarve is warm year-round, enjoying approximately 300 days of sunshine, with fairly steady temperatures. On hot summer days in July and August, the Atlantic offers a refreshing cool down.

The apartment is in a superb location and there are so many things to do in Lagos, with something for everyone.

Lagos marina has a good selection of bars and restaurants and the old town caters for all tastes with plenty of Portuguese restaurants as well as Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and Mediterranean. There are also some excellent beach restaurants along Meia Praia.

Follow the cobbled streets in the old town to find lots of small, independent shops selling local crafts, ceramics, fashions, leather goods and local produce.

The Autodromo do Algarve Race Track is between Lagos and Alvor and hosts lots of events including Superbike Championships, FIA GT1 World Championships and track days for motorbikes and cars. The complex also includes the 'Kartodrome' go kart track.

Slide and Splash water park is near Lagoa in central Algarve (approximately 20 minutes from Lagos).

Other activities include dolphin safaris, boat trips, sea kayaking, mountain biking, sailing, surfing, wake boarding, kite surfing and windsurfing.

The Marina Club offers a gymnasium, indoor heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, group classes, massages and treatments.

To the rear of the complex, there is a well stocked supermarket with a small coffee shop selling fresh pastries, dry cleaners, florist and pharmacy. The supermarket sells many branded products as well as their own brands, fresh fruit, fresh meat, sea food, vegetables and bread.

A refundable breakage deposit of £100 is required with the final payment. This will be returned to you within 2 weeks of your departure, upon confirmation by our apartment manager that there has been no breakages or damage to the apartment during your stay.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: On arrival in Lagos, our apartment manager, Corinne, will be there to welcome you and ensure you have all the necessary information to really enjoy the apartment and your holiday. Corinne will be contactable throughout your stay should you have any queries. Towels and bedlinen are provided, however you are kindly requested to bring your own towels for beach/pool use. Strictly no smoking inside the apartment. Outside: There is a large unheated swimming pool (with separate baby pool) set within beautifully maintained gardens. This complex is unique in that it is the only development of apartments in the marina that has its own communal pool that is free to residents. By the pool there are sun loungers, umbrellas and tables and chairs on the decked area - all provided free of charge for the use of the guests. Next to the swimming pool there are toilet and shower facilities. The garden area is gated to ensure it maintains its exclusivity, provides privacy for guests and offers a safe area for children to play. Utility Room: Off the kitchen there is a smaller utility balcony with clothes horse and pegs. This balcony is completely separate to the main balcony and is perfect for drying towels and clothes. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned and prepared for your arrival. The apartment is cleaned weekly with a complete change of bed linen and towels. In addition to this there is an additional towel change mid week. Other: There is a spacious, sunny balcony accessed from the open plan living area and comprises a table with 4 chairs perfect for al fresco dining. For additional safety, the balcony has tempered glass fitted in front of the balcony rails.
