These 4 Star Graded luxury ground or first floor adjacent apartments can sleep up to 4 persons (Max 3 Adults)). The Apartments are part of a small terrace of modern apartments which are secluded from the main road in the former Grounds/Gardens of the now redeveloped former Boswell Country Club Hotel. Local amenities are excellent with Shops, Restaurants/Bars (some with live entertainment), Buses/Trains and Queens Park with its glasshouse, tennis courts and gardens all within easy walking distance. The Battlefield Monument minutes away marked the location of the last battle fought by Mary Queen of Scots. For local interest you can also walk the Langside Heritage trail. About Michele George

Hello! My name is Michele George and I am the Owner and Manager of Boswell and Sherbrooke Apartments, collectively called "Glasgow Self Catering Apartments". I offer 4-Star "Home from Home" Self Catering Accommodation with an attentive but unobtrusive approach.

I graduated with Honours as a Teacher of Physical Education in 1982 and then taught in London. I worked as a Holiday Representative for Thomson Holidays for six years and I bring that valuable experience very much into how I organise what I do now in terms of hospitality, organisation and attention to detail.

I then retrained as a Teacher of Primary Education before meeting my husband and starting a family.

I started "Glasgow Self Catering Apartments" in 2007.

I look forward to welcoming you to the wonderful City of Glasgow.

I have been operating since 2007 when I started off with just one apartment. I now have four 4-Star Apartments in two different but equally lovely areas on Glasgow's South Side - Langside and Pollokshields. I was born and brought up in Shawlands on the South Side so I am very familiar with the area and its benefits. I truly want all my guests to experience the best of what Glasgow has to offer and so my locations were carefully chosen for their peaceful, safe and prestigious aspects. City Centres can be noisy, Car Parking can be non-existent or very expensive. My locations take away all this stress and yet allow quick and easy access to the hustle, bustle and excitement of the City Centre. Minutes from M77/M8/M74 makes this a great central base to explore Glasgow and beyond.

What makes this apartment unique

You will love the feeling of "Coming Home" when you stay at Boswell or Sherbrooke. Each apartment is unique and yet each retains the air of welcome and relaxation with everything in place to enable guests to enjoy a stress-free stay. The experience is based on the standard of hospitality and you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome and a stay which is tailored to your own specific needs.

Not only this, but you will be in a good central location which allows such easy access to so many of Scotlands's gems, such as 40 minutes to Edinburgh, Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, The Trossachs, Loch Lomond, West Coast, etc So please come and be prepared to fall in love with Scotland.

Outside: Apartments separated from Millbrae Road by Garden and Fir Trees which creates a cosy secluded private environment. There is a pleasant Garden Area with seating where you can watch the squirrels and bird life which frequent the Rowan Tree which is just outside your window. On the other side of the building is the small Car Park which affords close, easy loading and off-loading of vehicles. Apartments are at the end of the terrace, therefore there is no people traffic and no vehicle traffic. Owner extremely helpful and introduced us to her particularly well-equipped property; she really has thought of everything.

Well situated close to Glasgow City Centre yet a genuine haven; definitely a home from home.

Truly a home from home

My sister's family recently had to spend a couple of months back home in Glasgow due to family commitments: no room at the inn in our place so we were delighted to find them the most organised and personable landlady imaginable.

Over the course of eight weeks they stayed in 3 of the 4 properties owned and personally managed by Michele ( she is heavily booked so they had to move around as she honoured her prior bookings).

Each apartment offered comfort, cleanliness, warmth and every conceivable item you could wish for meticulously stored and labelled.

Furnishings are contemporary and stylish, in keeping with the standards you would find in an upmarket hotel, with attention to the little details such as soft lighting, cushions and artwork.

There were many evenings when I called round to visit and attempted to persuade them to go back to my house full of teenagers whilst I luxuriated in the warmth of the apartment with total control over the huge TV and sky box!

As a local living just 10 minutes from the apartment, I can testify to the first class transport links connecting you to the city centre, with further superb links from there to other cities and regions of Scotland.

The Boswell apartments have a good selection of local restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Local shopping is varied, with some good independent shops - a trip into the city centre is easy and additionally there is a large out of town mall nearby at Silverburn.

Tourist attractions are too many to mention: all are easily accessed from either location of these apartments - which have adequate parking facilities although a car is not a neccessity given the good transport links already mentioned.

We can not recommend these apartments, or their owner/ manager, highly enough.

30-40 minute drive down the M77 will take you to some lovely beaches on the West Coast of Scotland. One of my favourites is the beach at Irvine - if it was not for the unpredictability of the Scottish Weather you would believe you were anywhere else in the world! Ayrshire is "Robert Burns" country so you may like to visit the Burns Heritage Centre, sing "Auld Lang Syne" and recite a few verses of "Tam O'Shanter!"

40 minutes drive from Prestwick Airport.

Car Hire is always desirable but not necessary.


City Centre - 10 minutes / Glasgow Airport - 15 minutes

Burrell Collection Museum & Pollok House in Pollok Country Park - 15 minute walk/5 minute drive

Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum - 10-15 minutes drive

Science Centre / SECC - Hydro / Riverside Museum - 10-15minutes drive

Loch Lomond - Edinburgh - Stirling Castle - The Trossachs - Ayrshire - 40 minutes drive.

Further Details:

High amenity area with Shops, Restaurants, Bars, Parks, Places of Historical Interest, Cash Machines, etc all within easy walking distance.

If you don't want to stay right in the City Centre then this is your ideal location for making the most of Glasgow and beyond.

Access to Motorways - M77, M74 and M8 is just a 5-7 minute drive for hopping off for the day in any direction.
