About the Owner

We bought this apartment in 2012 after falling in love with Broadstairs. It's a wonderful place to relax with our children away from our busy London lives. We all love the beach and all the fun that buzzing Broadstairs has to offer. Our sons will not leave without a visit to Morellis Ice cream parlour... in our opinion it's the best!

Since purchasing the property in April 2012 we have spent many weekends/school holidays here and have really loved it, we hope you enjoy our wonderful coastal retreat too!

We now live in Singapore but we were home at christmas 2014 and we stayed at the apartment for two nights, it was wonderful and brought back great memories. Please enjoy this wonderful haven by the sea. Please email us or whatsapp/text to arrange a stay.

Home from home at Christmas

We chose Broadstairs as our Christmas escape and this apartment was ideal. The location couldn't be better as it's right on top of Stone Bay and a few minutes walk from the town centre, but not so close that it makes parking a problem. Very close to Bleak House. It can get busy but we always had a free space outside. The apartment itself is very large indeed, especially the lounge. Much bigger than the photos suggest. We brought our baby and she had lots of free space to play in. The rooms were bright and clean and it was quite handy having the second bathroom. There were three of us but a family of five would have no trouble staying here. The kitchen had everything you might need (we easily managed a full Christmas dinner). The best part though is the wonderful view from the front windows. It's pure sea and sky from left to right (unobstructed by any cars in the drive). The beautiful telescope was great for ship spotting and looking at the stars and a large full moon. As for the town there's a good selection of shops; fantastic butchers, bakers and grocers. We loved the book shop on Albion Street. There's no shortage of places to eat, and too many to try in a week, but we'd recommend the Albion hotel for a great lunch with a view and Posillipo is the superb Italian to go to. Tightly spaced but very accommodating with the buggy. There's good walks to do but one we'd recommend when the weather is pleasant is to walk north along the beach to Margate (about two hours) then, post lunch, get a bus to Ramsgate and then walk back up to Broadstairs (an hour). Clare the owner is very friendly and helpful to deal with. It was a lovey bonus for her to arrange for there to be a beautiful decorated Christmas tree set up in the front room. It wasn't something we'd ever expect and just added to our stay. Overall Broadstairs is one of if not the best seaside town in Kent and for a family with a car the apartment had everything we needed. Thanks a lot, we can't wait to come back.

Amazing seaside holiday flat!

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful holiday flat in Broadstairs. We stayed in mid April with our two young sons aged 2 and 7 and we were very lucky to get wonderful sunny weather. This meant due to the flats perfect location we could just live on the beach which is just opposite at the lovely Stone beach.

The actual flat is on the ground floor, is spacious for a family of four and decorated to a very high standard with a tasteful, beach theme. The living room has a gorgeous bay window with a window seat looking out to sea. Our boys particularly liked using the telescope which enabled us to see ships out a sea a real quirky treat. The view is particularly lovely in the evening when the sun is setting and is very relaxing.

There are all the mod cons you need for a home from home and the beds and bedding felt luxurious so another treat we wouldn't normal expect in a holiday home. The flat also has excellent secure shutters at all windows which make it feel cosy but also really stops the sunlight coming through in the mornings which encourage everyone to sleep in longer!

We loved the kids bedroom which was so beautifully decorated and the children loved the toy box this is such a thoughtful touch by the owners. We also appreciated having two bathrooms and a washer/ dryer so we could do all our washing done before going home.

The flat is just a 5 minute walk from the town centre so we could walk into Broadstairs in the evening with the kids for dinner and not worry about getting back late. There are also plenty of other things to do in the area and other towns to visit and we particularly enjoyed walking along the coast to Ramsgate and driving to Deal for the day.

This really was the perfect place for a family holiday and we will definitely be back very soon - our boys are still talking about it weeks later - thank you :) We can recommend it highly especially for comfort and location and think it would suit a variety of people not just young families.

Wonderful Flat

This flat is a 10 mins walk from the centre of Broadstairs along the promenade. It has a beautiful view of the sea and you can lie along the window seat with a book watching the water change colour.

It's light, airy, clean and very comfortable. The beds had fresh linen and towels.

We brought our 4year old who fell in love with it too. A couple of toy boxes and a bunk bed kept him occupied for hours.

I would definitely recommend it for a family or a couple. Quiet and peaceful too if you need a good night's sleep!

Perfect apartment with sea view

This apartment is a perfect home from home, with all your needs, and more catered for. There is a great view from the living room across to the sea, which we would sit looking out at every morning with our cuppa! The location is fantastic, only a short stroll from the many bars and restaurants that Broadstairs offers. We liked it so much we stayed twice in a month and will certainly be back!

Lovely apartment. Fantastic location

All I can say is that the description and photos definitely said it all. It is a beautiful apartment. Very well equipped with excellent equipment. It was very clean and welcoming. We wanted to stay a lot longer. On a few nights as the chill crept in from the sea, the apartment took less than half an hour to warm up. The apartment was also ideally located. The views are spectacular and we spent every morning eating our breakfast on the window seat looking out to sea. Idyllic. It was only a short stroll to the main area of Broadstairs which was lovely. A fantastic place to visit. There's lots to do. The Dickens Museum is a must. There are lots of welcoming pubs and restaurants and everyone is really friendly. There are many walks and all easily accessible. Broadstairs is bigger than we thought and as we came in to the area there is a huge shopping mall. Bliss. We would definitely recommend this apartment and Broadstairs itself. We can't wait to visit again.

When i first went to view this property it was very tatty, i walked into the living room with the estate agent and looked out at the sea and just saw the huge potential this property had to offer. I often just sit in the window seat with a book looking out at the sea, its so medicinal. A weekend here takes you back to child hood simplicity and you can truly relax.

Special interest holidays:

Lots in the town centre to explore, for Charles Dicken's fans Broadstairs is a must with Bleak House a roughly 200 meters from the property.

Walking and Cycling holidays in Broadstairs are fantastic (The Viking Trail), Sea fishing from Ramsgate we have a great contact and can personally recommend.

Coast/Beach:

Broadstairs is blessed with numerous blue flag beautiful sandy beaches. The apartment is located overlooking Stone Bay. A large family beach which tends to be quieter than it's neighbours. To enjoy punch and Judy, bouncy castle, trampolines etc. then Viking Bay is a 5 minute walk. A 5 minute drive in the opposite direction is Joss Bay, Kings gate bay and onwards to Botany Bay.

Travel:

Broadstairs is well served by the Javelin high speed train service departing from London St. Pancras (1hr20min) as well as the nearby M2/A2 roads. Ramsgate is a 10 minute drive, it's the UK's second busiest port with regular services to Ostend and further afield. Dover ferry port approx 40 minute drive. Manston Airport 15 minute drive serving selected UK and continental destinations.

Distances:

Broadstairs town centre is a 5 minute walk.

Ramsgate ferry terminal and harbour is a 10 minute drive.

Turner contemporary gallery, Margate is a 10 minute drive.

Canterbury is a 30 minute drive.

London 1 hour 20 minute by Javelin high speed train.

The one clear thing that this property has to offer that many won't is the fantastic sea view. We have a nautical telescope in the living room and you can spot ships on the horizon. It is a great location not only just a walk over the road to the beach but a simple 5 minute walk along the sea front to the centre of town. In my opinion the master bedroom bed is one of the comfiest beds i have ever slept in and it actually beats my bed at home! the room is dark and i always get a great nights sleep there.. You find out for yourself.

  • Notes on accommodation: The property has been fully refurbished in 2012 to a high standard and is in-keeping with it's coastal environment. It is used frequently by the owners and is very well cared for and loved. Sorry no pets allowed. Outside: Outside to the front of the property we have had a little decking area made. A bistro table and chairs is provided inside the apartment so on a warm summers day you can enjoy Breakfast or evening drinks over looking the Bay. Stone Bay has everything you need and if that's not enough check out one of the other 7 beautiful beaches in the local area! (our personal favourite being Botany Bay). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linens and towels are provided, the property is cleaned once a week. Visitors are requested to bring their own beach towels.
