Sailaway is a modern 3 bedroom town house with driveway parking for up t 2 cars. Sunny lounge/dining room, well equipped kitchen, private garden south facing garden with decking and wooden furniture. Cable TV, wireless internet, downstairs WC, upstairs bathroom with bath and shower.

Travel cot provided but no bedding apart from a few baby blankets. Booster seat provided with tray. Also a high chair suitable for children over 2 years old (has has no supports or tray). Many children films and games provided.

Driveway parking. Quiet location, Playground with children swings over the road. Toys, movies and games provided for the children.

Mudeford Quay, famous for crab fishing, windsurfing, sailing and canoeing, and ferries to Hengistbury Head are just an easy 10 minute walk from the house. A further 10 minute walk takes you to the sandy Avon beach and further on is Highlife.

Christchurch is a historic and busy town, with a local Monday market, Theatre, Priory, boats for hire, walks and boat trips around the harbour, and many restaurants and pubs. The New Forest, with ponies and country pubs, is 20 minutes' drive away. Bournemouth, Poole, Lyndhurst and Lymington are also close. Opportunities for walking, cycling, horse riding and water sports.

About Ros and Mike O'Callaghan

Sailaway is a our family holiday home which is a well loved haven in a beautiful part of the country. Our favourite activities are windsurfing and canoeing on the harbour; enjoyed by both ourselves and our children. The sandy beaches are walking distance away so ideal for children. We also love the peace of walking in the New Forest and enjoying a relax afterwards in the traditional pubs. The furthest we have walked along the cliffs is to Keyhaven, but we are keen to try further. There are many excursions inland and along the coast and some guests even do a say trip to the Isle of Wight.

Notes on accommodation: The house is very well equipped because we often stay there ourselves. We have owned the house for over 10 years and are constantly making improvements. It is our home from home and we welcome you to enjoy the house, and its location near the harbour and the beach. Very child friendly but also suited to groups of adults and older families. Parking is on the driveway. Unfortunately we do not accept pets. Outside: South facing garden with wooden decking and solid wooden chairs and table. Sun trap garden with parasol and trees to provide shade. Patio doors from the lounge. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Please bring sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, towels. If you are travelling from abroad, we can provide at cost. Standard size double and single duvets provided, with spares for cold weather. Bath mats/tea towels provided. Cleaning between rentals.

Relaxing holiday

The property was clean and peaceful and made for a lovely relaxing week. Easy walking into Mudeford and Christchurch. Also a nice sunny garden for relaxing in. Would be happy to come again.

Coast/Beach:

10mins walk to Mudeford Quay - crabbing, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing (equipment hire)

20mins walk to sandy Avon Beach - awarded 'Clean Beach Status' and good for swimming.

Walks along the beach or cliffs, to Highcliff Castle, Barton on Sea, Keyhaven.

Ferry from Mudeford Quay to Hengistbury Head - quiet and sandy beaches only accessible by ferry. Stunning views of the Needles, and The Beach Cafe and the land-train.

More Beaches at Bournemouth and Sandbanks.

Travel:

Chrsitcurch is 100 miles from London via the M3, M27 and A31. Turn off at Ringwood and take the A3347 signposted Sopley. This takes you all the way to Christchurch.

Train Station at Christchurch (from London, Waterloo), then short taxi ride.

Bournemouth International Airport 12 minutes drive away.

There are local buses very close tot he house to access Bournemouth, Poole, New Milton, Lymington, Christchurch.
