About this property

Disinfected T4 apartment with secure garage. Flexible cancellation policy.

The apartment is situated in a historic Art Deco warehouse, which was converted into modern residential apartments in 2006. It is on a quiet road, set back behind the beautiful port. There is a secure private parking space within the building. You can walk from the car to the apartment without leaving the building.

The apartment entrance is on the second floor. The spacious, open plan living and dining area opens out onto the south-facing terrace, which has views of the surrounding hills and part of the port. There is a step onto the terrace. There is a staircase inside the property which leads down to the next level, where there are three bedrooms and bathroom/WC.

Sheets and towels can be rented for your stay, at a cost of 25 Euros per bed. This can be arranged directly with our agent (we will send details when you book).

The apartment is located one street behind the port, so it is fairly quiet and private. A two-minute walk will take you to the centre of the little town, with its beautiful port, shops and restaurants.

If you would like to visit Collioure, you can drive there in 5 - 10 minutes, or walk there in 25 minutes. There is also tourist bus service, which is usually available in the Summer which takes you there in 10 minutes.

The beautiful sandy beaches of Argelès-sur-Mer, St Cyprien and Canet are nearby, and you can drive to them all in 15 -30 minutes.

This is the ideal apartment for those who like the authentic life of a small French town, situated in a historic port, with all the attractions of the Cote Vermeille within reach.

Great Location! Property Needs A Bit of TLC
My partner and I stayed in this flat for 2 months end of March to end of May. The location was fantastic...in a few minutes you were right on the Quai, where all the action happens...from fresh fruit sellers to cafes, pharmacies, etc. The view of a small part of the port and the surrounding hills is also great. The flat itself is a two level with the bedrooms and the only toilet and bathroom on the lower level. Having only 1 toilet and it being on the lower level was a bit of a hassle..but since we were only 2 people it was ok. But if you had people 6-7 ...which there are beds for...it might become challenging. Now to the bedding and cleanliness. The cupboards were a mess...mattress covers, pillows...quite tatty and some yellow stained from use...all were stuffed in a jumble which at first tumbled to the floor. The pillows didn't really fit the pillow cases given to us...the "useable" pillows were square while the cases were rectangle. The sheets didn't really match, and our first set seemed not too "fresh" ...we were given a second set a few days later which were much better. The first set I had to rewash immediately. We swept and mopped the floors on several occasions...even on the last time there was hair, and other debris left by previous tenants. The kitchen cupboards were also very untidy and unclean...especially the one under the sink. The glasses with dishes cupboard was ok...some others I didn't bother with... The oven Was very hard to get to work well...very tricky and also rather dirty. I finally gave up and only used the stove top. The TV worked...none of the other entertainment devices worked. We didn't mind as we had laptops and streamed Netflix movies. Other electrical equipment in the kitchen didn't work either...they hung on the wall unused. The microwave worked. All in all, we feel the place is a good basic place that needs more attention in cleaning...bedding, floors, cupboards, oven, etc. And some electronic gear needs fixing, or? The rental price was reasonable. And again, the location great! The balcony with the table and 4 chairs was delightful!

Clean, modern apartment, ideal location
Thank you to the owner Mathew for helping us with the flexible booking dates. Also, thank you to Eve for greeting us on arrival and showing us around the apartment. It was good to know that someone local was available to help with any problems. The apartment was well furnished and had everything we needed. The dishwasher and air conditioning were added bonuses. The apartment was ideally located with easy walking access to the supermarket, bakers and restaurants and we particularly enjoyed the view from the terrace, overlooking the harbour. Car parking space was easy to access, and useful as on street parking was difficult to find. We would certainly recommend this property to friends and family.

Modern apartment, well appointed, convenient base
The apartment is clean, modern and has everything you might need for a stay in Port Vendres. We liked the balcony with views across the town to the hills. Port Vendres has lots of bars and restaurants and provided a calmer alternative base to the busier resorts like Collioure, which is only 5 minutes drive away but always absolutely rammed with tourists!

We are a family with French and English roots. Many of our family live in the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon region. We live in England, but visit France whenever we can.

Why they chose this property

We have spent many happy holidays in Languedoc-Roussillon. About 16 years ago we discovered Port-Vendres and were struck by the unique feeling of the place. The town is characterised by its maritime heritage, and it is still an active and beautiful port. Life does not stop after Summer, and Port-Vendres is an interesting and beautiful place to stay at any time of year.

We chose this apartment because we wanted three bedrooms in a secure building. Also, we liked the fact that the building had been a wine warehouse for about 100 years, before it was converted into apartments in 2006.

What makes this property unique

We love the fact that the apartment is big enough for the whole family, and that we have our own dedicated parking space inside the building (especially during the Summer season, when the Cote Vermeille is at its busiest).

We also love that fact that the apartment feels quiet and private, because it is set back one street from the port. If we want to visit the little sailing boats, shops, and restaurants, they are only two minutes walk away.
