There are a choice of three swimming pools within minutes walk from the apartment and just a short walk from the centre of Son Bou with its shops and supermarkets, English speaking Chemist, English speaking Doctor, and wide variety of restaurants that cater for all tastes and pockets!

Wi fi now included in the apartment from June to September .

Fantastic

We've just come home from a 10 day holiday here its our 2nd time in this apartment with our two young children. I cannot recommend it short walk to swimming pools restaurant and local shops . Not to mention the amazing sea view from balcony. Will use this apartment again!

Great apartment in a wonderful location

Just got back from 10 days at this lovely apartment. We have two young children and it's really safe. Fab location, in a wonderful resort. Only a couple of mins drive to the beach, or a min walk to two different pools. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely apartment ideally situated

Have recently returned from my fourth stay in this lovely first floor apartment which is ideally located. Swimming pools are clean and well maintained. Set in lovely gardens.

Beautiful beaches on the islan, with Son Bou beach a ten minute walk. A car is a good idea if you want to explore, but there is a reliable bus service should you prefer.

Hope to return again next year!!!!

8 years ago we decided to 'take the plunge' and buy our own apartment, having spent many years holidaying at Son Bou while our children were young. They are now grown up with children of their own, and they all love Menorca as much as we do! Menorca has just about everything you could wish for and is great for a relaxing family friendly holiday. Son Bou beach is thought to be one of the best on the island with 4kms of soft white sand and clear turquoise sea. Great for kids. The whole island has so many beautiful beaches, some of which are shown in our photos. The whole island is easily accessible by car which we recommend, or the local buses are a very reliable way of getting around. If you prefer walking, the Cami de Cavalls is a coastal footpath round the island.

Nearest Airport : Mahon at 15 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : San Jamie at 300 Metres Nearest Ferry : Mahon at 20 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Son Parc at 15 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : San Jamie at 300 Metres Nearest Beach : Son Bou at 1 Kilometres Car: recommended

Special interest holidays:

Son Bou is an excellent centre for Walking, Cycling, Painting, Scuba diving, Snorkelling, but most of all relaxing!

Coast/Beach:

Son Bou beach is approximately 5 min by car or 10-15 min walk, Or you can catch the 'Son Bou Express' a 'Thomas the tank engine ' type train that runs every 25mins!

An Amazing beach, white, soft sand, 4kms long.

3 Beach bars which serve food/drink/Ice creams etc.

Travel:

Fly into Mahon Airport and either pick up your hire car from there or get a taxi to Son Bou which is approximately 20 mins away.

We do recommend Car hire if you want to explore the many wonderful towns/ beaches on the island. Buses are very reliable.

Distances:

There are so many wonderful places to visit such as the quaint 'sugar cube' town of Binibecca Vell (approx 35mins drive), Mahon Harbour (approx 25 mins drive), Cuitadella, (approx 45mins drive). Alaior, the nearest town to Son Bou (approx 10 mins drive). El Toro is approximately 15 mins drive away and is the highest point on the island, from here you get amazing panoramic views.

Everywhere is very easy to get to, no where on the island is very far away!

Further Details:

There is a Water park in Cala en Bosh.

A zoo on the way to Mahon.

A local 'mini train' that rides round Son Bou.

We recommend that you buy a Roquetta Magazine which is published monthly. It gives you details of all local events such as Fiestas, craft markets etc. going on locally.

Access to the Apartment is usually by 14.00hrs.

Our first floor apartment is in the sought after 'zone 5' of the San Jaime apartments which are tastefully laid out and are surrounded by gardens.Zone % is in a quieter location on the complex. We have a front balcony with sea views,with a second balcony at the back. The Apartment has two twin bedrooms with room for a 'put up bed' in the lounge area, a bathroom with bath/shower/Bidet/WC. Kitchen with gas cooker,grill, microwave, and toaster. Living area with ample comfortable seating, Wood burning stove, TV. Information folder. There is nightly entertainment in the centre of the complex in season that is suitable for all ages.The complex has three lovely swimming pools and water slides that operate in the high season.

  • Notes on accommodation: Our Apartment is reached by a short flight of stairs, you go through the wrought iron gate that secures our balcony. We recommend using a padlock on this to ensure safety if little ones are playing outside. As stated, we have a lovely Log burning stove, making our apartment ideal for a lovely winter break to tackle some walks that are not suitable to do in the summer months. Outside: The Apartments are situated in beautifully maintained gardens with grassed areas and palm trees. There are three shared pools on the complex. There is also a Tennis court available for your use. Our Patio has Large table and chairs with large sun umbrella. Utility Room: On the back balcony we have a storage unit with lilos, etc. for your use. Also an umbrella for beach use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Our Property is looked after by Menorca rentals( reception on site), who maintain it to a very high standard. The Apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival, Towels and Linen are included and are changed weekly Beach towels are not provided.
