About Chris Davison

I am a professional business owner and landlord, although this is my only holiday property and was bought so that my family and I could enjoy Cornwall - my favourite place in the UK!

As this is our own holiday home, it is used by us regularly (we live in neighbouring Devon) and so is well-cared for, with most conveniences supplied.

We can't stay here all the time (unfortunately), so we offer it to holidaymakers who want a conveniently located base to explore this fantastic part of the country.

We want you to enjoy the lodge as much as we do and hope that you fall in love with Cornwall too.

Ideal for a family and friends type holiday especially if you have younger children

We had a pleasant stay overall; the house was nice and spacious with comfortable modern furniture and amenities throughout. We stayed in a four-bedroom lodge which was ideal for a large family like ours.

Our very first impressions we thought the house itself was looking a little 'tired' in places and needed some maintenance but on the whole we felt very comfortable and our stay was not compromised in any way. We had an elderly member of our family staying with us and the bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor were excellent for her.

The holiday park had 'something for everyone'. We made full use of the gym, which was free to guests but with a small charge for the gym classes. The indoor swimming pool accommodated all ages and the pool itself was easily accessible.

The staff on site were extremely helpful and pleasant. The owner of the property was also very helpful and ensured we had contact numbers for him should we need to. He was also very responsive to any queries we had.

Unfortunately we experienced issues earlier in the season, with some cosmetic damage being caused by less "careful" guests but I'm happy to say that our planned refurbishments in 2 weeks time will solve these issues and bring the lodge back up to the high standard we prefer. Car: recommended


15 minutes by car to Newquay & Fistral surfing beaches, 15 minutes by car to Padstow & Rock (Rick Steins food), 15 minutes by car to Watergate Bay (Jamie Oliver's "15" restaurant), 30 minutes by car to the Roseland Peninsula (St. Mawes, King Harry Ferry),


Newquay Airport - 10 minutes by car, Exeter airport, 90 minutes by car. Plymouth ferry port, 60 minutes by car. Car hire or use of a car is recommended.


Indian Queens - 1 mile, Newquay - 5 miles, St. Austell - 8 miles, Truro - 10 miles, Falmouth - 24 miles, Lands End - 45 miles.
