Riad in Marrakech, Morocco - Riad Romm'an. Centrally Located 8 Min Walk From Main Square, Souks & Tourist Sites, Easy Car Access
This private, exclusive use only, luxury riad is the perfect place to experience the wonders of Marrakech. A peaceful haven hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but only minutes walk from the main square, souks, historical sites and restaurants, etc. The house is a modest palace, a full size 4 sided house designed around an inner central courtyard with its bubbling traditional fountain. The house was recently redesigned, restored and decorated in stunning traditional style, but to modern standards of luxury, comfort and convenience. There are three generous bedroom suites, all with large double beds, luxurious en-suite bathrooms and seating areas, air conditioning (heating in winter) and wardrobe space. Huge, spectacular grand salon in French 1920's colonial style (9.5m x 4m). An arcaded open salon with relaxing/seating areas overlooking the inner courtyard. There is a dining room. The central courtyard has an electronic retractable roof. Free WIFI throughout house.

Guestbook comments from the owner
"An oasis of prefect contemporary calmness set in a vibrant and well-positioned neighbourhood. Riad Romm'an is the ultimate home in Marrakech and a uniquely chic and skilfully designed private space, absolutely prefect for families and small groups." A. Conti, Passeport Travel.
"You have made Riad Romm'an so beautiful in every way, it's just perfect. It is so peaceful and we have really enjoyed our time here, especially up on the roof terrace. We have spent a lot of time there. So lovely to go up there first thing and enjoy the warm sunshine. We loved Brahim, Zahra and Ismael. They were all wonderful. Food was excellent at the Riad. We have done a lot in the few days and would love to come back again next year. Inshallah. The Riad is fantastic for families." Mrs E Ross-Talbot

Absolutely AMAZING - Private Boutique Hotel
We loved everything about our stay - Riad Romm'an is truly a hidden gem. The owner did such a nice job decorating all the rooms and common areas (everything is even more beautiful than in the pictures) - sometimes it was hard for us to decide if we rather spend our time in the comfortable living room, the terrace or our individual bedrooms. The attention to detail in each room was stunning. The major reason for our incredible stay was undoubtedly the company of Ismael and Zahra...the staff of the Riad. Ismael was so kind and helpful in every way. He greeted us at the train station, helped us get around, accompanied us on our adventures and tours - just overall a great and unexpected addition to our stay - we cannot thank him enough for his kindness. Zahra's cooking was incredible - the meal we had at home was the best we had in our 2 weeks in Morocco. We also loved the reasonably priced refreshments! The Riad is close to everything in Marrakech - walking distance to the main square, Hammam, restaurants, etc.
Thank you very much for having us - we hope to be back soon!
I am torn between desperately wanting to keep Riad Romm'an as my own wonderful secret and the obligation to tell everyone I know about it. Fortunately, the latter won and I have been telling everyone about this wonderful find. I spent hours researching places to stay and the effort paid off with the Riad Romm'an. Laura (the owner) was bombarded with emails from me before our arrival every time I thought of something I needed to know and she patiently responded to each and every one of my inane questions.
Our stay was just amazing and flawless. As soon as we arrived outside the riad we were greeted warmly by Ismael and ushered in to a sensational entrance scented with jasmine, to relax with a refreshing glass of mint tea prepared by Zahra.
Ismael, Zahra and Brahim looked after us so well and were a great source of information. Zahra's cooking is fabulous and not to be missed. We were also able to use the kitchen ourselves if we wished and the fridge was well stocked with drinks / wine to be paid for at the end of our stay. Whilst the owner could very easily charge high prices for these and the meals, she keeps these costs low. For example, a can of coke cost about 65p! Very useful when you have teenagers with you.
The Riad itself was just spectacular. Even more beautiful than the pictures on the website. It was as if we had our own private boutique hotel. So much better than staying as unknown tourists in a huge hotel.
We felt at home and a part of Marrakech for a while walking the easy route back to the riad with local residents after our excursions to the souks, the main square and drinks at La Mamounia..we miss it already!
Just book it...you will not be disappointed!
You will love staying in this Riad
You really will love staying in this Riad. As soon as you walk through the front door, you know that your stay will be magical in Marrakech. The Riad is simply stunning. Beautifully created from a derelict site, the Riad oozes Moroccan style and comfort. Ismael and Zahra are truly welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Want to see how a moroccan shops and cooks? Go shopping with Zahra for dinner. See bread being cooked in the communal bakery. ismael took us to one in the Kasbah. Want to be Crosby, Stills and Nash? Ismael took us to Casablanca on the Marrakech Express, where a friend from his village met us and showed us all around Casablanca. Just want to go shopping, or book a restaurant, Ismael will book it and if necessary escort you, and carry your purchases. They go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect.
The Riad is so convenient for everything you may wish to see and do, as it is about 10 minutes from The main square, the Souks and the main tourist sites - Bahia and Badii palaces, The Saadian Tombs, The Kasbah and the Mellah.
Yet, if you didn't want to rush around doing all the touristy things, the Riad is so comfortable, you could happily spend your time on the terrace in the sun or shade unwinding from your hectic lives, just relaxing.
This is the best place I have stayed in Marrakech (I have been to 4 different Riads here in the least 10 years), and if you come, you must stay here: Just get in line behind me, as I am coming back first!
We were very impressed by the photographs and information referring to this beautiful Riad, but we were blown away by the wow factor when we arrived, it is truly a beautiful Riad, that our party of 6 had exclusive use of. We were met at the airport, and greeted warmly by Ishmail who was amazing throughout our stay, catering for our every need, welcoming us with mint tea, followed by a delicious meal prepared by Zhara who is truly an amazing cook., we were instantly made to feel at home. My Husband and I celebrated our birthdays' during our stay and thanks to Ishmail and Zhara it was one of the best ever, they certainly went that extra mile to ensure that everything was perfect, candles decorations , flowers, and the most delicious and fulfilling meal that we have ever had!, all this followed by a beautiful birthday cake, such lovely people! I would not hesitate to recommend this riad, it was an amazing experience and we hope to return. Thank you Laura and Scott, you have a little palace amongst the wonders of Marrakesh.
A Truly Perfect Stay
Our week long stay at Riad Romm'an was perfect from the moment we arrived until it was time to say goodbye to Ismael, Zhara and Brahim, the wonderful staff who take care of you at Riad Romm'an. We arrived to such a warm welcome that we instantly began to relax and enjoy our holiday. We arrived in the evening and were so glad that we had arranged for Zahra, the lovely cook, to prepare a meal for our arrival as it meant we didn't need to worry about finding our bearings and looking for a restaurant on our first night. The food was absolutely delicious, we would recommend it to anyone staying at the Riad. As we were travelling with two young boys, aged 3 and 11 months, it also made sense to eat in in the evenings and we were very happy to have this option. With Zahra's cooking it certainly wasn't a hardship and it made travelling to Marrakech with little ones far more stress free. Having previously visited Marrakech before having children we did wonder how child friendly we would find it but our worries soon disappeared staying at this Riad. The central location within the Medina makes this Riad ideal. You are only around 10 minutes walk from the Souks, restaurants and many of the main attractions. Having previously stayed in the Kasbah which involved a lengthy walk to and from the main square etc, we found this to be a far more favourable location. After a busy day exploring the souks and haggling for your finds the last thing you want is a long walk back in the heat! It was a pleasure to step back in to the tranquility of Riad Romm'an in the late afternoon and relax on the beautiful roof terrace where the boys also had a wonderful time in the plunge pool. The decor of the entire Riad is simply stunning. It feels authentic and Moroccan but also luxurious, with all of the comforts of home. It was also spotlessly clean. When we could bare to drag ourselves away from the Riad then Ismael was always on hand to answer any of our questions or to organise taxis or trips out. An added bonus is that he is absolutely wonderful with children!
If you haven't already guessed my family and I absolutely loved staying at the Riad Romm'an and cannot recommend it highly enough to all wishing to visit Marrakech.
What a luxurious delight!
My family had a truly wonderful week at Riad Romm'an : can only echo the comments made by other reviewers. Very spoilt by Ishmail and Zhara. We really loved our breakfast : it varied every morning, and the dinners we had were also beautiful and eating out on our very own roof terrace added another touch of luxury! The accommodation is so comfortable and beautiful it was really hard to leave! We had a couple of trips out of The city and Ishmail came with us so we just could sit back and relax. Can also recommend the hamman where we went just before our flight home : again organised by Ishmail who took us and came to pick us up. When we came to settle our bill at end of week for all our trips, numerous drinks and meals were pleasantly surprised by how reasonable it was. A week we will never forget! Thank you!
