The property is in a quiet road with space for double parking. It is close to the centre of Cala'n Porter, about a 7 Minute stroll, but is far enough away to be unaffected by music from village bars, good if you need a nap during the day. Music outside Bars and Restaurants is stopped around 11pm. The disco 'Cova de Xoroi' goes on into the wee small hours but is the other end of Cala'n Porter and built below ground in a huge cave complex which is w.ell worth a visit

Really nice property and a great two week stay

We loved our two week stay at Villa Xibet. Great pool with plenty of space for relaxing on the many loungers provided. Ample outdoor space for eating and relaxing in sun or shade. Views across to the other side of the ravine and out to sea. Enough room inside - although we were hardly indoors at all due to the fantastic weather - only really to shower and sleep ! Conveniently situated and only quite a short walk into town. Very friendly and helpful owner, Elli. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Family Villa

Fantastic weeks holiday. The villa was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The outside area was also fantastic with a fab swimming pool and lots of space to sunbathe on one of the many sunbeds. Only a short walk to bars, restaurants and the supermarket. The beach is lovely with the sea breeze to cool it down. Both Elli and Penny were lovely and Elli is not far away to help with anything you may need. Would highly recommend staying at Villa Xibet.

Home from home...

We've stayed in various 'James Villas' in recent years, but this year decided to try owners direct, and i'm happy to say that this one topped the lot...Lovely clean villa with plenty of room for the 6 of us to spread out for two weeks. We really didn't want for anything, even down to the inflatable dinghy, lilo, and fishing nets in the utility room...!!!...The children also had the option of watching one of the many movies on offer in the living room when the sun got a little too hot for them. The villa had a fan in each bedroom for those hot nights, and a lovely pool area with dining and BBQ. You even get a sea view from some parts of the garden. Cala en Porter is under 10 minutes away at a stroll with enough places to eat for a fortnight, and only a couple of minutes more to the wonderful beach. Elli and Penny we're a delight to deal with when booking, and Elli was also really helpful with any questions whilst we were there. Loved our two weeks at the Villa and would definitely recommend to others. Thanks.

Great place

Just got back after 10 days here. clean quite and convenient for the town the owner was very helpful and easy to contact would definitely stay there again. Great holiday.

Location

From the Owner

I first came to Menorca in 1984 and fell in love with the Island. When I decided to buy a property abroad I choose Menorca for its beauty, tranquility and safety. I liked the slow pace and friendly Islanders, I found it catered to all ages, has some wonderful beaches, magnificent views and always lots to explore. I especially like visiting the prehistoric sites dotted around the Island. It is the most tranquil of the Balearic Islands, great for families and by plane, only two hours from the UK.

Nearest Airport : Mahon at 12 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Sa Paisa Restaurant at 300 Metres Nearest Ferry : Mahon Harbour at 15 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Son Park at 25 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : The Castle at 400 Metres Nearest Beach : Cala'n Porter Bay at 300 Metres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

The Island has many prehistoric sites that are now being investigated by archaeologists from all over the world. A recently discovered burial site dating back to the the Roman invasion is a recent project.

Coast/Beach:

The distance to Cala'n Porter beach is around 7 Minutes from the Villa, a beautiful safe beach with beach bars and restaurants, also a shop selling beach gear, Sunbeds and sun umbrellas can be rented on the beach. It is reached by road or stairs. There are some wonderful beaches around the Island but a car is necessary. The Main Town, Mahon is around a 30 Minute drive, Taxi's and buses are available.

Travel:

Mahon's new and modern Airport is 10 km from Cala'n Porter and there is a Cab Rank outside, or it is possible to rent a car prior to your arrival on request.

Distances:

Cala'n Porter's centre with a variety of restaurants, shops and bars are 7 minutes walk from the villa, the nearest town of Alaior, is 15 minutes by car and the Capital City of Mahon is 25 Minutes by car, bus, or taxi.

Cala'n Porter, has three Supermarkets, many Shops, Restaurants, Bars, a Bank, Money Exchange, Car hire, a unique Discotheque set in deep Caves in the cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. A safe, sandy, gently sloping beach that has a river running alongside. Beach bars serving delicious tapas all day. You can hire sunbeds, sun umbrellas, and pedalo's on the beach.

You will be met at the villa on your arrival with the keys. If you would like to order a car for your stay, or for a few days, please let me know.
I will be happy to answer any questions. The villa has a smart TV that will connect to your dongles or to next Box.
Changeover Day:
Preferred changeover day is Friday but will try to be flexible on this. The Villa will be available from 12 noon but cases can be locked in the garage for Clients arriving early. Guests will be asked to vacate the property by 10am on the day of their departure but again cases can be left in the garage until you leave the resort.

The villa is very convenient to all amenities, it has everything needed close by, swimming in the pool, the safe and lovely sandy beach and its tapas bars, enjoy stopping for tapas and a cooling drink on a hot sunny day to watch the world go by. The friendliness of the Islanders, the International shops in the Capital city of Mahon, and Prehistoric Site visiting. There is also water sports, golfing, paintballing, bowling, cinemas and lots of other activities to pursue.

Outside: Property has a secluded private pool, 8 M x 4 M. The depth at the shallow end is 1 M sloping to the deep end which is 2 M's. There is a garden with fruit trees and flowers, built in barbecue with seating area, and a sunbathing area with six recliner sunbeds. Utility Room: Washing machine, freezer, iron & board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and Towels are included and will be changed once a week or as requested. No Beach Towels are provided. Other: Long hallway from the street door overlooking the pool, one end being the dining room area.
