Sea Whisper is a lovely family property with a delightful large enclosed garden. Situated on a quiet lane, just off the centre of Croyde village and its amenities. The house is generous in size, furnished and equipped to a very good standard. It has 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and and a shower room. The entrance porch and hallway lead to an open plan sitting /dining room and kitchen with patio doors to the garden and sun terrace. A second sitting room 'family room' has ample seating, satellite TV and patio doors to the garden with countryside views. The rear garden has a raised decking area providing a quiet spot to read and relax. There is ample parking area for the house - max. 4 cars. An outdoor shower can be found in the rear garden to wash off the sand and other beach paraphernalia. Full week bookings and families only. Wifi available.

About the Owner

My husband grew up in Devon and spent many childhood summers in Croyde, camping and surfing. When we first met we would drive from London to spend many weekends there enjoying the beautiful beach, surfing, walking and the village pubs and restaurants. We spent the week before getting married relaxing in the dunes (wedding dress in box in back of the car). Work has taken us to USA but we continue to use the property on a regular basis and invite family and friends to enjoy the house and the beautiful surrounding coastal area.

Home from Home.

It was perfect,great layout,we were a family of ten,three generations,plenty of room to have our own space.Cleanliness was five star,garden superb, four children who loved the space.We went Trout fishing and the children thought it was great to catch there dinner.Pop up Pizza was really good,also the barbecue was great.

Fabulous holiday rental - already rebooked for next year!

Brilliant location on the quieter side of Croyde village and yet a few minutes walk from all that the village has to offer. House is large and very well equipped. Lots of internal reception space so we all had room to find a quiet corner away from others and lots of bedrooms so plenty of flexibility in sleeping arrangements. Our four children made the most of the sizeable and secure garden and the outside eating areas and barbecue were appreciated. The hot outside shower is genius. Easy walk to Croyde beach via Sandy Way and easy drive to other nearby beaches. Tesco delivered with no issues. Lots of information provided on local activities by the owner. Very responsive owner and local property manager should there be any issues.

Was originally a little nervous about booking through Owner's Direct but our holiday was a huge success and we have already rebooked for next year! Would highly recommend.

Perfect in every way

Staying here was a great experience.

Everything exceeded expectations -from the huge, pristine garden to the immaculate condition of the house. There was more than enough space for 10 of us, with privacy if you needed in a self contained annexe.

The location was excellent for both the village and the beach, both a short walk away. Some incredible walks just on the doorstep too.

Would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone, and hope to stay there again next time we're in Croyde.

Great Holiday

Our party was 4 small children and 6 adults and we fitted in very comfortably. There is plenty of indoor space should the weather be poor, with two separate tv rooms in addition the the main lounge area. There is plenty of car parking and loads of lawn / garden. It is in a secluded quite lane so close to all the facilities. The nearby pubs and restaurants are all good. It is about 1Km walk to the nearest beach by a choice of mainly off road paths. Also at the end of the lane, about 100m, is the start of a footpath that can take you to Saunton Sands, the Coast Path etc. A very enjoyable time was had by all. Thanks.

We found the owner very pleasing to deal with and she helped us with local walks. The property was in good repair, over the description was accurate. Overall a very enjoyable holiday due to the locality and the property, would highly recomend!

Nice big garden, house was well resourced, beds and furniture where very comfortable.

A great family holiday home

Sea Whisper is a great house for a family party - especially if you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors and in the water. Having 3 inside showers/bathrooms plus a HOT outside shower is fantastic when you all come back from the beach with wet suits. The house works well for cooking, eating whether inside our out - great Gas BBQ. The garden is in the sun all day and is pretty with outside seating and a decking area so if you're not out and about you can spend time comfortably in the garden. The house is in a lovely quiet part of Croyde, nestling between the hills so very pretty with horses in the field behind the house. We had a group with adults and teenagers raging in age from 12 to 19. The layout of the house meant that everyone could have their own space and privacy which avoided holiday bickering! The house has lots of sliding doors to the outside which in hot weather means it is airy and bright.

  • Sea Whisper is a large spacious property, ideal for families and complimentary welcome pack on arrival. Unfortunately cannot accept any hen/stag parties. Strictly no smoking on the property, no candles due to fire regulations and no pets. Outside: Large enclosed garden (front & rear) with established shrubs and trees and farmhouse gates from lane onto property. Patio doors leading from open plan sitting area onto sun terrace with raised flower beds and front lawn. Terrace area has garden furniture and barbecue. Second sitting/family room has patio doors to rear garden with countryside views and raised deck area. Utility Room has butlers sink, washing machine and tumble dryer Cleaning / Linen: The property is cleaned, all linen replaced on changeover day. If the rental period is for more than one week, an additional clean can be requested at extra cost. No towels provided but can be arranged in advance at extra cost. Other: There is an additional sitting room area with sofa, TV, games console at rear of house together with kitchen area/additional dishwasher. Cot and high chair available. Wi fi provided free of charge
