Sunny, comfortable & well decorated home. Peaceful & Pretty Location With Spacious Gardens Only 5 Minutes From Town, Sea And Beaches

This is a unique opportunity to stay in a beautifully restored and modernised traditional stone finca and casita apartment. A much loved home the finca is finished to high standards with original artwork, good quality linens and comfy furnishings throughout.

The finca is the perfect base for a special & relaxing holiday with flexible accommodation, which may be taken as a whole or part, is close to all local amenities as well as the stunning beaches, calas and coves of the east coast.

The finca has full size sunny pool, set amongst the pretty, large and well stocked gardens and fruit orchard of pink grapefruit, lemons, oranges, pomegranate, figs & vines. It is surrounded by terraces with ample teak sunbeds with comfy cushions, umbrellas, hammock, seating and tables. The entire finca has modern soft water systems, dbl sun reflective glazing, solar systems, excellent stylish bathrooms and roomy, bright fully fitted bedrooms.

The full height original double oak studded entry doors of the main house lead to a towered hallway with guest facilities, glass ceiling and stairs to the unique double tower bedroom with clawfoot bath and spectacular uninterrupted views along the coast from the full length terrace. This large upper terrace is also set with dining table, seating & pretty plants.

Through the hallway is the spacious lounge area with comfy seating by the large screen Smart Sky TV, music centre and a further dining area with marble based glass top table.

The modern and well equipped American Style kitchen has fitted oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and induction hob with a range of hand painted oak cabinets and marble worktops. Newly fitted for 2018.

Also downstairs is the spacious family bathroom with twin sinks, large walkin shower and toilet - it is fully tiled, modern and immaculately clean.

Alongside the bathroom is a further double bedroom which will be closed with the owners private effects.

A comfy single bedroom with fitted wardrobes is opposite the downstairs double bedroom.

Leading off from the lounge is a large glass enclosed dining terrace, long refrectory table with seating for 10 and doors which open back to welcome the sea breezes.

Alongside the main house is the newly decorated open plan casita apartment attached via the utility area and designed in a traditional style but ultimately modern inside with Queen size iron bed, modern walk in shower bathroom, its own fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area (with double sofa bed if required) and pretty private terrace, driveway and electronic gates, sleeping a further 4.

The last bed is in the separate large double bedroom accessed via the attached utility area, a large and well equipped room with leather sleigh bed.

If required there is an additional west wing studio apartment, which has a fully independent double bedroom with antique dbl carved bed, memory foam mattress, private bathroom, a further kitchen, independent entrance, terrace, comfy setee and satellite Sky TV/DVD & music player. Please enquire if the studio is required, we are happy to provide this for just 2 guests :)

All individual areas have wifi access, satellite sky TV with the main house & casita having German, Spanish and UK television on a large flatscreen TV. plus flatscreen TVs in tower bedroom & in the west wing - music players & ipod dock are also provided. Low occupancy discounts are available.

Outside and alongside the pretty fish pond is a Mediterranean outside kitchen with original antique pizza oven & BBQ's all set around a marble circular tree table and ample seating. A further new traditional stone BBQ stands next to the casita terraces.

Every effort is made to accommodate the needs of guests and special requests are welcome.

We love Mallorca very much and spend as much time as possible gardening, working on and maintaining our special home in the sun (broken up with lots of good local wine, dips in the pool and swims in the sea of course!

It has such character and life, the old stone is beautiful and the gardens and wonderful views out towards the coast just made us fall in love with it from the first moment

What makes this chateau / country house unique

The style of the finca is pretty unique, there's some interesting artwork from local artists, original antique marble tables and an antique carved double bed which make the inside so comfy but unusual. The tower room has the most amazing views along the whole coast line. There's a lovely little fish pond and although there is garden lighting, we also have lanterns and candles to add to the special feeling and wonderful atmosphere.

The open plan casita has a queen size bed and double sofa bed sleeping with the separate bedroom accessed via the utility area - taking the total available to 9 persons. The studio may accommodate a further 2 (please enquire), but will be closed when not used.

Amazing appartment

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in this apartment, the location Is great, plenty of room in the apartment, we loved sitting on the roof terrace in the day time and having a bbq in the evening not over looked at all. The beach is just a 5 min walk away. The pool was lovely very quite. lots of bars and resturants in walking distance.

L'appartement est très bien agencé, propre, fonctionnel, bien équipé. Belle décoration.

John est un hôte très agréable et disponible. Depuis notre réservation, John est resté continuellement en contact avec nous pour nous donner toutes les informations nécessaires avant notre séjour. Il est resté en contact lors de notre semaine à Porto Colom. Nous étions en pleine confiance pour notre séjour.

Special interest holidays:

Walking, cycling and riding holidays are available year round with temperatures in January still achieving 18 degrees in the day with beautiful blue skies and the flowers beginning to bloom. February is very popular for activity holidays as this is the month for the spectacular almond blossoms - artists and photographers especially enjoy this early Spring.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beaches are at Sa punta and Marcal, either end of the beautiful Portocolom bay. Numerous other beaches, calas and coves can be found along the South East coast, some can be reached by the excellent local transport - others need a car. Many beaches have parking close by, even those surrounded by the beautiful pine forests of the area. The stunning caves of Porto Cristo are also within 30 minutes drive and the beach of Mondrago (voted one of the worlds best beaches by The Times) is 20 minutes.

Travel:

Airport is Palma de Mallorca - 40 minutes drive. Port is either Alcudia (north) or Palma de Mallorca (50 mins either way). Use of a car is not essential, but is recommended. Buses run nearby to local towns and taxis are plentiful. Bicycle hire is easy as is local car hire if required for a few days. Airport pick ups may be arranged - please ask.

Distances:

5 minutes walk to first local bars. 2 min drive or 25 minutes walk to bay front of Porto Colom which offers some beautiful restaurants, bay front bars and unequalled style in the old town fishing village. Archaeological dig in nearby Can Gaya area of Colom, 2 minute stroll away. Cycling, diving, fishing, boat hire and other water sports all available locally and in Cala d'Or. Horse riding at Mondrago beach and inland.

Further Details:

The area has all the amenities required for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Banks, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars etc. are all close by. Tennis (local game of Padel) is available in Porto Colom which also has parks and children’s play areas.

Booking Notes:
To reserve your dates we ask for a 25% deposit within 2 days of requesting a booking. The balance is then due 8 weeks before arrival together with a returnable damages deposit of £100.
Changeover Day:
We have no set arrival or departure days, but we do ask for arrival times after 4pm and departures by 10 am - although we will always try to be flexible with this by prior arrangement.

Notes on prices:
Prices are per week for 6 persons maximum. Odd days over the week are charged proportionately. Additional services (ie. welcome packs, extra cleaning, hire equipment, airport pick ups) should be booked in advance.
