Beautifully furnished 3 storey property situated on Fisherman's Road, a cobbled pedestrian street, just 5 mins walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. The property is spacious, light & airy with an open plan modern kitchen, dining and living area with dual aspect windows and balconies facing South & West.

The balconies (4) all enjoy lovely sea & countryside views and are equipped with dining furniture and an outdoor sofa set - great for sipping a drink while the sun goes down. There is a ground floor terrace area with another dinning set and BBQ, with steps leading to the large infinity pool. This is a great outdoor space for sunbathing & dining, which stays in full sun until sunset.

Arranged over 3 floors, the property has 3 double bedrooms and offers additional privacy for teenagers or friends - with one double bedroom arranged at mezzanine level with its own lounge/TV/kitchenette shower/ WC. The property is linked with two other beautiful homes, with caring owners, sharing the large pool and gardens.

We bought our villa after having holidayed on the Algarve and falling in love with the pretty fishing village of Salema and the beaches along the west coast and up the Atlantic side of Portugal. Salema was ideal for us - informal, relaxed with great restaurants and a few bars within walking distance. We also like being close to to number of other popular resorts - such as Luz and Lagos for more lively evenings, shopping and harbour side strolling..

Excellent accommation it worked well for two small families. We had 5 in our group. Granddaughter loved the swimming pool. Beach and restaurants less than 10 minute walk away. Best equipped house we've ever stayed in.

This villa is easily the best I have ever stayed in. It's simply amazing from the location to the facilities available. Linda is very accommodating with any requests and her communications regarding your booking are excellent. The villa is furnished to a very high standard and the pool is a great size and depth. Location is excellent as you are a 5 minute walk away for the beach and restaurants but as Salema is a sleepy fishing village it's very quiet. My wife and mother in law were very pleased with the quality of all the bedding and the kitchen as they love John Lewis and the lay out of the villa was ideal for our group. Hilde the cleaner and local contact point is very helpful with any requests and also is available as a baby sitter whom we used on one occasion which was ideal. We all hope to return in the future !!!!!! Thankyou very much .

Lovely Villa, Stunning Location

The villa was wonderful, light & spacious and very tastefully furnished, resulting in a very pleasant stay - home from home. I loved the views from the balconies, the large pool and the option of TV /DVD's in the evenings. It's in a very pretty, peaceful location on Fisherman's road on the old side of the town and a short stroll to the beach. There' s a selection of good quality restaurants in the village - which has retained so much of its charm.

Fantastic Property and Location

The property was by the far the best we have stayed in, the kids loved it, and the area was fantastic. Hilda the house keeper was also great, she met us on arrival and made sure everything was just right, she really couldn't have been more helpful.

By the end of the second week we didn't really want to come home, superb quality and highly recommended!

From the Owner

We fell in love with the view from the villa - a lovely mix of countryside and sea views. The minute we arrive, we relax completely and enjoy the weather, the fantastic food and the fabulous beach. The property itself is also delightful - being light and airy and offers sun all day long with balconies at the front and the rear. We have taken care to make it homely and to ensure our visitors have a very comfortable stay. Year property purchased: 2012

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Faro at 80 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Salema at 250 Metres Car: recommended


Salema beach is 5 mins walk - a long beautiful beach, great for swimming. There are a number of lovely secluded coves accessible by car (5 - 10 mins) or by foot along the clifftop paths. The west coast beaches, famous for surfing are 20 mins drive.


Faro airport 1 hour 10 mins - an easy, straight drive. We would recommend using the toll road as it only costs c 7 euro's and has little traffic.

Lisbon 3 hours. Seville 3 hours.

Although car hire is recommended, it is not essential. Local buses run hourly from Salema to Lagos and there is a shuttle service from Faro Airport to Salema.

There is a train service from Lisbon to Lagos and from Faro to Lagos


Many beautiful deserted beached within a short driving distance St.Vincent, the most southerly tip of Europe (25 mins by car). The historical town of Lagos, with local markets, shops, Marina and restaurants (20 mins drive). Monchique (1 hour drive). West Coast beaches (15 mins drive)

Further Details:

The villa benefits from having a peaceful location within a small fishing village with a beautiful sandy beach and restaurants within walking distance therefore a car is not absolutely necessary. It is only a 5 mins drive to the golf, tennis and leisure complex Parque da Floresta. Salema is part of a National Park and is surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty and countless stunning walks in the neighbouring countryside and along the nearby cliff tops.

Bread, meat and vegetables can be bought in the small supermarkets in the village. Vans selling fresh fish and bread come daily from 8.30.

There are several restaurants serving fresh fish, chicken and meat dishes, stews, tapas and pizza and some lovely friendly bars - try Aventura on our road - very friendly.

  • Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is on 3 levels & consists of open plan kitchen, lounge/diner with stairs leading up to 2 bedrooms & main bathroom, and down to the second lounge, kitchenette, third bedroom, shower & WC. Beds 1 & 2 and the lounge/dining/kitchen open onto balconies. Bed 3 opens onto a patio/garden area, with direct access to the large infinity pool. Three of the four terraces are furnished with a table & chairs. Furnishings are to a high standard, with all necessary cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils provided. The villa is fully air conditioned and has Internet & Sat TV. Sun beds & BBQ also provided. The house & furniture are new and therefore no pets and no smoking indoors. Ash trays are provided for use on the terraces. Towels, including pool/beach use and household basics such as washing powder, dishwasher tabs, cooking oil, salt, pepper & spices are also provided. Outside: The property has a large infinity pool (shared by 2 other villas), private patio with BBQ.
