Excellent apartment that would accommodate up to 10. Spacious and all facilities supplied for comfortable living - UK Sky, Wi Fi, Nespresso machine. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Owner very easy to deal with

Le Praz accommodation

The description of the facilities was accurate and most helpful. The accommodation being if anything even nicer than described! Everything was clean and tidy, with plenty of information and advice to help find our way round both the flat and the resort.

I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to a friend or relative and indeed would love to return some time to further explore the Three Valleys. The owner was helpful and informative from when we first made enquiries about the availability of the apartment and right up to our return.

We did not do too much eating out whilst in Le Praz as we were invariably exhausted from a full days skiing and the apartment offered such a lovely relaxing space that we preferred to cook for ourselves most nights. We did however go to 'The Drop Inn' pub over the road a few times. It had welcoming atmosphere and offered great value for money. There were plenty of other restaurants recommended by the owners which looked really nice and worth returning for.

The skiing was fantastic but we did feel we only explored a small part of what Courcheval Le Praz had to offer. it would have been nice to get as far as Val Thorens - Maybe next time?

Location

From the Owner

This is our family holiday home since 1985 and we use the apartment winter & summer. A few years ago we completely redecorated hence the new kitchen & bathrooms. Its a home away from home and has all the mod cons needed. I now spend the majority of time in Spain & use the apartment for 10 days over Christmas. My sister has 4 young children so uses it less hence the renting for this season.

Coast/Beach:

Le Praz has a selection of bars and restaurants including mouth-watering creperies, pizzerias and "Le Bistrot du Praz", one of the most renowned restaurants in the Trois Vallées. There's a supermarket & a really good butchers who offers a good plat-de-jour.

Travel:

Geneva 226km, Chambery 103km, Lyon 181km, Grenoble 125km.

Chambery or Grenoble approx 1.hr. Sometimes hiring a car is cheaper than paying for transfers & you can they supermarket shop in the lower town of Albertville or Moutiers, much cheaper. Transfer company details can be provided on request.

Further Details:

Courchevel offers a great balance of high and medium altitude and predominantly north-facing slopes to offer excellent skiing throughout the winter. In December, huge capacity for artificial snowmaking and the connection to the Val Thorens valley make good skiing probable. Courchevel really comes into its own from January to March, typically seeing regular snowfalls. The ski back to Le Praz is via two fabulous, tree lined red runs, or two black runs for more accomplished skiers. There is a bus service operating between all the resorts, which is useful if you'd like to try one of the restaurants in another village.

The communal area in the apartment is really well laid out with a large dining area. We have games & a full UK SKY TV package plus a large DVD library. For the cooks the kitchen is really well equipped & we even have a raclatte / pierre chaud machine
