Bungalow in Torrevieja, Peaceful Area With Many Local Amenities And Easy Access To A Variety Of Entertainment

This sunny, attractive 2-bed bungalow is well maintained and fully equipped for a family or a couple's holiday. In addition to key-access to the beautifully maintained communal pool just 200yds away, the bungalow also boasts a private large roof-top sun terrace. Being within walking distance of several supermarkets and La Habaneras, a modern shopping centre which also offers free wifi access, a car is not necessarily required. There are plenty of local cafes (some with internet access) and restaurants offering Spanish cuisine, Chinese, Indian, German and Sushi. We are on the bus route, or just a 40 minute walk if you prefer to the vibrant coastal town of Torrevieja. The property is also very close to the salt lake for walking, cycling and bird watching. The windows are fitted with mozzy nets and shutters with additional security gates on the front and back doors and bars to the windows for added peace of mind. They chose this location firstly on recommendation from friends.

They loved Torrevieja because of the ample facilities in the area, the beautiful beaches, plenty of shopping opportunities and the close proximity of friendly bars and restaurants means that there is always somewhere different to eat, drink and socialise within a short walking distance. The local bus will take you into vibrant Torrevieja town with its beautiful beach, market, esplanade and marina.

What makes this bungalow unique

The bungalow is situated in a quiet area of the urbanisation, overlooking public parkland where you can take a pleasant stroll in the evenings.

Entertainment, several restaurants and lively bars are on offer just 300yds away. However, as these premises are in the next block and facing in an outward direction there is no noise or disturbance to signify their presence.

Notes on accommodation: English TV Reception provided via annual subscription to Torresat TV. Free WiFi We also provide a variety of DVDs (and children’s videos for the 2nd bedroom). Outside: The large private roof-top sun terrace is fully equipped with 4 sun loungers, patio table and 4 chairs, patio brollies and a barbecue. Washing line and pegs. To the front there is a gated drive/patio area, planted with a fragrant orange tree. Utility Room: Through the kitchen is an open area with a cupboard with cleaning equipment etc, the gas bottle for the hob and also the spiral staircase to the sun terrace. There is also a gas heater for cooler evenings. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival. Spare sets of linen are provided and guests are expected to launder during the stay using the washing machine provided. Other: There is also a small front conservatory area where currently the dining table for 4 is situated.

Great location

Had a lovely stay at this property. It is in a great location, close to shops, bars and restaurants. Also near to great shopping centres and gives easy access to many of the Costa Blanca resorts. Everything needed has been provided in the bungalow. Paul and Debbie, the key holders, were very helpful and sorted any problems, which were few, and answered any questions we had.

Home from home

Myself and my good wife had a great week.

We are not a couple for going out at night.

But we really enjoyed our walks around the salt lake.

There is a few resturarants just a couple of minutes walk away which really looked nice.

But we preferred to dine in and use the facilities and watch the tv.

The area is really quite at night and we had a really relaxing week.

Can't fault this apartment and would really recommend it.

The roof terrace was great to sit about and enjoy the sun all day.

Just a warning...the little English shop beside the resturarants is really expensive.

But there is a really big Spanish supermarket just 15 mins walk away.

Better to stock up there.

In all we both had a great time and could have stayed longer.

This was our 3rd trip to the area and this was the best place we have stayed.

Spotless little bungalow

Spent a lovely 7 days in this fab bungalow, great sun terrace, a real home from with everything you need and more they seem to have thought of everything, even down to a shopping trolley which came in handy carting our beers back from he super market :) which is only a five minute walk away, lovely pool, some nice bars and restaurants 2 minutes away, we had a great chilled out time and we WILL be back

Lovely stay & a great time - Thank you!

We had a brilliant stay. The hosts were very accommodating and made sure we had basic supplies (tea, coffee, milk, toilet roll) when we arrived.

We were greeted by a really nice lady who gave us details of taxi companies, night clubs in the area and local amenities.

The apartment was clean, came with all the kitchen facilities we needed and had sky tv with plenty of english channels. I spent a lot of time sunbathing on the roof, which allowed us to have a really relaxing time.

The apartment was walking distance from the beach and torrevieja town centre (just follow the yellow brick road!). There is a local hairdresser, a good cafe for breakfast and sunday roasts and plenty of bars just up the road (1 minute walk).

We had everything we wanted and we will definitely stay again. I have since recommended the apartment to my friends and will continue to do so.

Lovely bungalow which had everything we needed for our stay. Fabulous private roof terrace, which was brilliant for bbqs.

Pool area is very well maintained. Several bars, super market and shops all walking distance.

Looking forward to visiting again thank you.

Our family stayed in this property from 5-19 August 2013 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. This was due to a number of issues including substantive building work being carried out next door starting at 8.00am until the early evening for a week of our stay which caused a lot of noise and disruption. Furthermore there were no working tv channels available, the microwave and video did not work and the shower head was fawlty. Also the pool closed daily between 3 and 5pm which we were never advised of. This property is also in need of modernisation. Attempts to resolve these issues with the owner and property managers Miramar properties were unsuccessful and unprofessional.

Torrevieja is a great area for families,highly recommended however this property is not.

Owner's Response: This bungalow is managed by Paul, owner of Miramar Property Management co., who responded immediately to the concerns of my guests over and above that which would normally be expected. However, for the purposes of exercising the right-to-reply, my responses to each issue are as follows: 1. The 'substantive building work' was the re-tiling of the roof-top solarium by the Spanish owners of the private property next door. Contrary to the guests' accusation that there was some deception on my part; the neighbours are not in permanent residence; I was not informed (and nor should I have been), of their plans to carry out essential maintenance of their home, just as the guests are under no obligation to inform their own neighbours when carrying out repairs. 2. As noted both in the property details and in the welcome pack in the bungalow, the reception of UK TV channels via Freeview is frustratingly unreliable in Spain as the satellite companies re-position the satellite every 6 months. The only reliable method is to subscribe to an annual contract, but as the property is empty for many months of the year this is unfortunately untenable. However, Paul provided his personal Spanish Digi box with many channels translating to English for the special use of these guests. 3. The microwave did indeed prove to be faulty, though the previous guests who departed just 3 days prior to their arrival have since confirmed this was working perfectly. Paul inspected the device immediately it was reported and offered to provide a replacement. 4. A number of video tapes suitable for children are provided, and the video player in the 2nd bedroom was tested by Paul and confirmed to be working perfectly. However, the guests had brought some DVDs with them. The DVD player is in the lounge. Paul, once again installed his personal device - a DVD player especially for the guests. 5. The shower head was tested by Paul as working perfectly but as the guests were unable to replicate any sort of problem, I unable to comment further. 6. As I understand it, the area of Valencia is currently urging local workers to take proper siestas in objection to Government plans to end this charming tradition. Hence for the first time this year, all communal pools were closed between 3-5pm. This has since been noted on the property details. Every effort was made to address the concerns of these guests, and I am truly sorry they allowed these small issues to spoil their holiday.

Torrevieja beaches are a 30min walk or 5-10 minute drive; there is also an excellent bus service to and from Torrevieja town centre.


Alicante airport is a 40 minute drive to the property, as is Murcia in the other direction. Car hire is available at the airports (Hertz or Coys) or we can provide numbers for a local taxi driver.

Further Details:

The bungalow is within 200yds of cafes, restaurants, a lively bar and local shops. Just 10 mins walk away is Carrefour Hypermarket and the modern Habaneras shopping centre, with shops such as Zara, H&M and C&A! Spanish, Chinese (recommend Wok buffet), Italian, English and Irish restaurants, even Mcdonalds and KFC. Also an indoor bowling alley and amusements.

There is a permanent tourist market in the vibrant town of Torrevieja as well as a Friday market. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Marina and the wide esplanade, with its many cafes and restaurants and where the local people also like to take their daily excersise.

If you wish to explore further afield - visit the recently opened Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping centre in Europe. Its traditional Mediterranean layout designed to reflect a typical Spanish village. Bus from the town centre.

You could even plan a trip to Benidorm; just 45 mins drive.

For the children there is a funfair and also an Aqua Park, open from April to October close by too.

The area also boasts the famous therapeutic salt lakes which are a national park with walkways all around - these attract a wide variety of birds including flamingos.

The bungalow is managed by Miramar Properties, a local English company in Torrevieja, who will ensure everything is in good order prior to your arrival. A representative from Miramar will meet you at the property with the keys and are available 24/7 for any concerns you may have whilst staying in the property.
