Seahaven has been a completely refurbished to the highest standards which have provided modern facilities perfect for a relaxing holiday. The ground floor is set for open living with well equipped kitchen/diner/living area. On the first floor is a good sized twin bedroom (beds can be linked to create second king sized room) with sea views and house bathroom with bath, walk in shower, sink and toilet. Stunning master bedroom with a double height vaulted ceiling, great sea views and ensuite shower room. Full central heating and pressurised hot water system. Free Wi-Fi access. There is a bench to the front of the cottage from which to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and catch up on the village gossip. Perfect location in the heart of Staithes with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk to the seafront. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Beautiful property, well thought out, great location.

We enjoyed a short break here, and will certainly be re-booking for a longer stay soon. The property is in a good location, and very well thought out inside with all the comforts of home. If you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this cottage is perfect. Our Border Terrier really enjoyed his stay, with the beach on the doorstep and the dog friendly Cod & Lobster pub minutes away, a good time was had by all.

Excellent cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at Seahaven. The cottage is comfortable, well decorated and warm. Downstairs is open plan with a very well equipped kitchen. Both bathrooms are clean and a good size. Plenty of hot water. Towels are provided. Bedrooms have sea views. Comfy beds with clean linen. Adequate storage in both bedrooms. Car parking permit is provided by owners. There is a pull in by property for you to unload car. Cars are then parked on large car park at top of Staithes. Bit of a pull walking up hill. Handrail is useful. Everything is close to property. Pubs serve good 'pub food'. Small cafe by property that provides snacks. Booking process was very easy with prompt replies from owners. We would have no hesitation in staying at Seahaven again or in recommending this property.

Stunning cottage and location!

We had an absolutely wonderful 3 nights here! the cottage is beautifully decorated and very cosy and right on the harbour with sea views from the main bedroom. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommended!

Seaview cottage in heart of the village

Modern property with lovely furnishings and all amenities required for a stay in Staithes. In the heart of the village you can drop off your luggage near to the front door in a small turning area next to the Cod & Lobster slipway. Then the car has to stay in the top of the village car park, a permit was included. The walk is steep and takes about 10 minutes. The village is quite sleepy even in the height of summer, with families, dog walkers, surfers all enjoying the beach and rockpools. There are a few places to eat in the village, nothing spectacular, but we brought food with us to cook in the cottage too. The nearest shop is a walk to the car, then drive 5 mins to a Co-Op on the main road. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious in the cottage with lovely views over Staithes harbour, you can watch the tide coming in and out from the window. The village folk are friendly and our son loved crabbing and rockpooling on the rocks at low tide. The Old Jacks Boat trail (CBeebies programme filmed in the village) operated by the shops/cafes is great for the kids too.

Exceptional

Ethos is exceptional property to let. From all aspects it is perfect. The furniture, bedding, space and facilities are all first class.across the road from a pub, nothing in Staithes is too far away, an extra bonus is the car park pass. We would definetley rebook Seahaven and have no qualms in recommending this first class accomodation to anyone. Special thanks to Amanda who has handled our booking impeccably.

Perfect cottage and location

A beautiful, well presented cottage with everything that you need for a relaxing time by the sea. The location is spot on as it is only about 30 seconds from the nearest pub ... Very handy when it is pouring with rain or snowing as it did during our weekend away.

The upstairs bedroom window has a lovely view over the harbour and is a great place to sit and watch the world go by ... oh and the ships!

The service from the owner when booking the cottage was very prompt so made the booking process very easy, no hanging around for a response.

If you are looking for a quiet time away by the sea then you won't go wrong booking this cottage in Staithes, and that is shown by the number of repeat visitors in the visitors book ... and we intend to be one of those in the future. Thank you

Staithes has a small harbour beach 200 yards from the properties, Runswick Bay 5 miles - long sandy beach renowned as the best beach combing beach in Britain, Sandsend 7 miles - beautiful long sandy beach with stunning views towards Whitby and very popular with surfers.

Travel:

Staithes is on the main bus route from Middlesbrough to Whitby with hourly services. Stations - Saltburn by the Sea 9 miles, Whitby 9 miles. Airports - Durham Tees Valley 25 miles, Leeds Bradford 75 miles, Newcastle 75 miles. Use of a car is not essential, but recommended.

Distances:

Whitby 9 miles, Saltburn by the Sea 9 miles, North York Moors Railway at Grosmont 11 miles, Scarborough 28 miles, York 45 miles.

Further Details:

Two local pubs The George and Cod & Lobster in the village plus The Cleveland Corner bistro, an intimate dining experience. In Dalehouse there is the Fox & Hounds and in Hinderwell the Badger Hounds offering good pub food. All are within 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk if you are feeling energetic! Further afield there are many award winning restaurants in Goldsborough, Sandsend and Whitby.
