Seahaven has been a completely refurbished to the highest standards which have provided modern facilities perfect for a relaxing holiday. The ground floor is set for open living with well equipped kitchen/diner/living area. On the first floor is a good sized twin bedroom (beds can be linked to create second king sized room) with sea views and house bathroom with bath, walk in shower, sink and toilet. Stunning master bedroom with a double height vaulted ceiling, great sea views and ensuite shower room. Full central heating and pressurised hot water system. Free Wi-Fi access. There is a bench to the front of the cottage from which to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and catch up on the village gossip. Perfect location in the heart of Staithes with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk to the seafront. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Fab cottage with sea views

We had a weekend in Seahaven and this cottage is absolutely lovely, with a big comfy sofa in the living room, comfy beds and sea views from windows in both bedrooms. Perfectly situated in beautiful Staithes, close to the beach, Dotty’s and the Cod and Lobster, where we ate each evening. Meals in the Cod and Lobster are lovely but very large, fab for someone with a big appetite! It is a very popular pub and you have to be patient to get a table if eating but it is well worth the wait. A lovely weekend in a lovely cottage, we hope to be back soon!

Exactly as described this lovely cottage was very well furnished, clean with everything you need. The village is quaint and the people friendly, food at the Cod & Lobster was excellent. We would love to comeback soon

Nice peaceful cottage in the heart of staithes

Great location, dog friendly, clean and tidy, well equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms, comfy sofa, TVs did not work properly due to Ariel problem, which several other guests had noted in the guest book, not a problem for us as we were out walking all day, but had weather been bad or you have other restriction, it could have been a problem. Owners did try and fix it & give us small discount for the inconvenience. Local pub very nice, no shop in the old village, so important to remember supplies before returning. Walk from car park to cottage is up/down the steep hill, which was fine for us but would be hard if you had mobility issues (or possibly small children). Beach a 2 min walk away. Close access to Whitby, nice drive to salt burn, dogs had a great time!

Staithes has a small harbour beach 200 yards from the properties, Runswick Bay 5 miles - long sandy beach renowned as the best beach combing beach in Britain, Sandsend 7 miles - beautiful long sandy beach with stunning views towards Whitby and very popular with surfers.

Travel:

Staithes is on the main bus route from Middlesbrough to Whitby with hourly services. Stations - Saltburn by the Sea 9 miles, Whitby 9 miles. Airports - Durham Tees Valley 25 miles, Leeds Bradford 75 miles, Newcastle 75 miles. Use of a car is not essential, but recommended.

Distances:

Whitby 9 miles, Saltburn by the Sea 9 miles, North York Moors Railway at Grosmont 11 miles, Scarborough 28 miles, York 45 miles.

Further Details:

Two local pubs The George and Cod & Lobster in the village plus The Cleveland Corner bistro, an intimate dining experience. In Dalehouse there is the Fox & Hounds and in Hinderwell the Badger Hounds offering good pub food. All are within 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk if you are feeling energetic! Further afield there are many award winning restaurants in Goldsborough, Sandsend and Whitby.
