This house is ideally designed for large groups of family and friends with ample accommodation, wonderful communal spaces, lovely views and, new for 2017, two fabulous cedar hot tubs. You will be able to enjoy lovely meals either inside around the huge kitchen table or on the large terraced area in front of the property where you can relax on sun loungers and have a BBQ whilst enjoying the beautiful views of the river valley. Finished off with a glass of wine in your own hot tub - a fantastic experience whatever the weather! A comfortable sitting room with lots of sofas and a large wood burner as well as a large games rooms means that even when the sun isn't shining you will enjoy relaxing in this lovely house. Located just within walking distance of the vibrant town of Totnes and acclaimed Sharpham vineyard where you can do tastings of their wine and cheese or enjoy the fabulous food at the al fresco cafe, there are plenty of great places to shop, eat and enjoy the atmosphere and character of this area.

About Jo Cooke

My name is Jo and my parents have lived in this area for over 40 years, first farming and making cheese then in 1990 converting - what used to be their milking parlour for their herd of beautiful Jersey cows, into this fabulous 10 bedroom house which has been popular with guests ever since. I now endeavour to create a happy, easy-going atmosphere and try to make your holiday special.

Why Jo Cooke chose Totnes

This property is always clean with lots of space for a big group to either be together or retreat into their own space (with all bedrooms having their own bathrooms). The wow factor is simple; when you drive down the drive the valley opens up into some of the loveliest river valley views Devon has to offer. This is a very peaceful spot, there is no traffic noise, no pylons and just the sounds of the countryside that welcome you when you arrive and continue for the duration of your stay. A great, affordable place to get away from it all. The bedrooms are bright and comfortable and all bathrooms are simple and clean.

What makes this house unique

People keep coming back because of the views, the facilities, the indoor and outdoor space, the fact its so close to the lovely town of Totnes yet in a unique valley. Plus it has modern, clean accommodation.

Outside: A large flat grass area in the field in front of the property with wonderful views, two beautiful wooden hot tubs, a hard tennis court for your exclusive use, a children's play area including a 10ft TP trampoline, swings and a slide. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble drier and iron Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen is included, towels can be provided at extra cost of £4 per person/set. Towels will also be included for all new bookings from Feb 2017, although guests will be asked to bring their own beach towels. Other: Games room including table tennis table, pool table and TV

Stunning

Property was well presented in a stunning location with unforgettable views across the fields to the river Dart, the property was well equipped with 2 Hot Tubs that were in use every day from 6.30am 'till dusk, trampoline, swings, swimming pool, tennis court as well as all the indoor games such as Pool and Table Tennis, apart from that there were walks around into Ashprington and Totnes or wherever you wanted to go.

The accommodation was well planned out and suited our family of six couples including grandparents and plus nine grandchildren, with two newly born!

There were adequate cooking facilities and utensils, with a double oven and two grilles and a lounge that was hardly used as there was so much else to see and do in the surrounding area including our favourite places, Dartmouth and Dartmoor.

All in all a most popular choice for every one of our family, an unforgettable holiday...we'll be back!
