About the Owner

I relocated to Portugal in September 2001 to take up a position in Lisbon. In 2003 I moved down to the Algarve and rented this apartment for four years before buying it in 2007. I have used it as my home now for eight years and have recently returned to spend more time back in the UK.

I have made many friends in the Algarve and love the place. Returned back there four times in 2014 and can't wait to return in 2015.

We love that the apartment is on the ground floor so we can wake up with the morning sun and just walk out to the pool to enjoy a refreshing dip before breakfasting on the lovely terrace watching the world wake up, and even in the busy holiday time the pool area is rarely very busy and there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the beautiful garden with sparkling pool. Only a pleasant 15-20 minute walk through landscaped pathways is Vilamoura Marina with its smart cosmopolitan harbour, designer shops, bars and a variety of fantastic restaurants, cafes, bars and night life – we enjoy nothing better than sitting in one of the waterside bars listening to the chill out music and people watching! - Phil & Helen Crowther

Lovely property - well equipped, clean, spacious and great location

We had a lovely 10days at the property in June with our 3 year old. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Well equipped - good cooking facilities plus bbq, a load of DVDs to keep up entertained and lovely terrace to eat on / relax as well as the garden / pool.

The apartment is about 15 mins walk from the marina so away from the bustle it close enough to enjoy what Villamoura has to offer. We rented bicycles from the travel office over the road which were great for getting around.

Simon kindly made some restaurant recommendations which were great - we ate out at a few which were all excellent.

Good mini golf nearby and the cafe over the road did lovely pastries

A thoroughly enjoyable stay - would definitely recommend the apartment. Simon could not have been more helpful through the process.

Total relaxation!!

Home from home accommodation was the icing on the cake for our visit to Los Arcos - the pool area extends from the terrace giving the feeling that this is your own personal space.Location to the harbour, with its superb restaurants is a strolling distance away - which is just what you need after a day of inactivity. The beach has fantastic clean sand and lifeguards - perfect with children in mind. The property is 2 mins from a well stocked supermarket and authentic local restaurant. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to all - couples, family's or someone just wanting to get away. Believe me you'll love it!

Wecloming apartment with the lot

We stayed here for nearly 3 weeks in July. Our stayed kicked ff well when we arrived and the kitchen was stocked with a load of basics - that madea smooth and easy start.

The blacony is a good size, good BBQ and outdoor table setting, perfect for those warm evenings.

It is a ground floor apartment so you can just stroll out to the pool with ease.

We were there oustide of school holidays and the place wa really quiet. Perfect as we were there with our 2 young kids. We made friends with some of the permanent residents who were very friendly.

Internet worked well.

The only downside of the location is 5 minute drive to the marina and 5 minute drive to the beach. However there are shops, resaurants, cafes across the road.

Simon was very helpful and a great host.

Recommended.

A chilled week

From the moment we arrived at Faro airport to be greeted by Yellowfish transfers we felt relaxed and at ease, a short journey to Vilamoura where our host Andy was waiting to show us around our apartment. The apartment is home from home, great facilities, warm, inviting, every amenity that could be needed. The surroundings and the pool area are extremely well maintained, clean and inviting.

We had a fabulous week exploring some great restaurants, beach bars, beaches and the Marina, local supermarkets and a great bar Parky's, only a few 100 yards away. We would without hesitation return to this property.

Fantastic apartment

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Vilamoura. What a beautiful and peaceful place with everything you need in a holiday! The apartment was lovely with a great ground floor balcony that lead to the pool and sun bed area. Both the beach and marina were great places to visit with excellent restaurants. A perfect holiday! I will never stay in a hotel or package holiday resort now that I have experienced this.

Fabulous!

From the very outset, Simon was so helpful in making sure our holiday was as relaxing as possible, even organising our golf and transfers in advance.

The property itself is beautiful it is in a fantastic location, within a short walk to both the beach and the marina and within 10 minutes journey to some of the best golf courses in Europe.

The facilities on the complex are also excellent we would highly recommend it and we are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

I have been visiting Portugal for the past 35 years on and off to play golf and holiday. I saw Vilamoura grow up from nothing to what it is today 'the largest man made resort in Europe'. Now internationally famous for its five golf courses it has so much more to offer all of which have a strong outdoor sport theme. It now has offers approx 24 miles of pedestrian and cycling routes, circuit training with dedicated stations, swimming, tennis, water sports, golden beaches or just chillin out under the blue skies. Comforting to know when you arrive there is no long drive from Faro Airport - just 25 minutes by car or take a private transfer.

Coast/Beach:

The magnificent blue flag Falesia Beach is just a 20 minute walkaway or a couple of minutes drive and to its side is the award winning Vilamoura marina with its branded designer shops, bars, cafés and numerous restaurants.

Travel:

Vilamoura is easily accessible from Faro Airport. A 20 minute drive along non-motorway toll roads. A private transfer taxi for up to four people will cost approx €30.00 each way. This can be arranged for you.

A hire car is only essential if you wish to tour and see the sights and/or have an adversity to walking. Special rates available.

Distances:

Both the fishing village & tourist resort of Albufeira & pretty market town of Loule can be reached by car in 20 minutes. Closest is Quarteria just five minutes by car with its beach promenade and gypsy market every Wednesday.

Historic Faro can be reached within 30 minutes drive.

Further Details:

Just a few hundred meters from a local supermarket, selection of restaurants, bars and a cafe. Alternatively enjoy a 20 minute walk to Vilamoura Marina or short cab ride.

Vilamoura is a sport and activity mecca. Activities include cycling, tennis, horse riding, circuit training, crazy golf and a variety of water sports available from the Marina including numerous fishing & boat trips. Aquashow Water Theme Park is just a few kilometers away, transport pick-ups are available opposite the apartment. Not to mention its six championship golf courses all within few minutes drive.

In a word: convenience. The apartment backs directly into the garden and is like having an additional room. Easy to keep on eye on the small ones as they play by the pool. Having a bathroom the same level as the pool is a real bonus. The terrace has a lovely table with four chairs and parasol for some al-fresco dining. Alternatively simply walk down the main Avenida to the Marina or enjoy the various restaurants and bars on offer across the road.
